The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in mandibular trauma caused by two mechanisms for the delivery of missile injuries: firearms and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The data investigated included sex, age, mechanism of injury, and other clinical and radiographic manifestations. Seventy consecutive patients, predominantly male, with a mean age of 28.6 ± 14 years (range 2–60 years) were enrolled: 38 patients (54.3%) sustained mandibular fractures caused by bullet injuries and 32 patients (45.7%) had mandibular fractures caused by IED explosion injuries. The physical properties of a sample of 65 extragalactic spectra characterized by the activity of star formation were discussed in this work. A series of nine new Schiff bases based on N-(4-acetophenyl)succinimide were synthesized via multistep synthesis. In the first step N-(4-acetophenyl)succinamic acid was prepared via reaction of succinic anhydride with 4-aminoacetophenone. The prepared amic acid was dehydrated in the second step producing N-(4-acetophenyl)succinimide.        The gene expression of the most important structural genes ica A and D of biofilm, sarA, and sigB regulatory genes of some methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) isolates were examined using the real-time polymerase chain reaction after 24 hours of growth. The results revealed that the isolates with strong biofilm production had the highest gene expression of the structural icaA and D genes.
