The most likely fusion reaction to be practical is Deuterium and Helium-3 (𝐷−𝐻𝑒
 3 ), which is highly desirable because both Helium -3 and Deuterium are stable and the reaction produces a 14 𝑀𝑒𝑉 proton instead of a neutron and the proton can be shielded by magnetic fields.   This study is concerned with the estimation of constant  and time-varying parameters in non-linear ordinary differential equations, which do not have analytical solutions. The estimation is done in a multi-stage method where constant and time-varying parameters are estimated in a straight sequential way from several stages.
