Melanoidins can be diagnosed using the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) technique. UV/Vis is an effective tool for both qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemical components in melanoidin polymers. The structural and vibrational features of melanoidin synthesized from D-glucose and D-fructose are identical, according to FTIR spectra, with the only difference being the intensity of bands. Using FTIR spectra, the skeleton of melanoidin is divided into seven major regions. The existence of the C=C, C=N, and C=O groups in all melanoidins formed from fructose and glucose with ammonia is confirmed by the areas ranging from 1600 to 1690 cm-1, and the band is largely evident as a broad shoulder. Both melanoidins have a carboxyl or carbonyl extending around 1700 cm-1. In all melanoidins, the NH+ group has vanished in the 3080 cm-1 range. However, the color intensity depends on the type of sugar employed in melanoidin synthesis. Furthermore, in comparison to Glc-ammonia, which has a higher proportion of sp3 hybridized carbon, Fru-ammonia has a higher proportion of sp2 hybridized carbon based on UV/Vis, FTIR and second-derivative spectra. Moreover, the data were simulated using principal component analysis. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to interpret the data.
Water-based drilling fluids (WBDFs) are the industry-preferred medium for drilling reactive shale formations, yet they remain susceptible to shale swelling, fluid invasion, and cuttings dispersion—all of which compromise wellbore stability. Although oil-based fluids (OBFs) provide effective shale inhibition, their high cost and adverse environmental profile limit their use. Nanoparticles (NPs) derived from waste feedstocks offer a low-cost, environmentally responsible alternative for enhancing WBDF performance, but no prior study has simultaneously evaluated both waste-derived SiO2 and Al2O2 NPs within a single WBDF system. This study synthesised SiO2 NPs from Halfaya bentonite clay waste and Al2O2 NPs from recycled aluminium scrap, char

The synthesis involved combining N-(4-aminophenylsulfonyl) benzamide (also known as sulfabenzamide) with indoline-2,3-dione. To facilitate the reaction, three drops of glacial acetic acid were added. This process yielded the ligand N-(4-(2-oxoindoline-3-ylideneamino) phenylsulfonyl) benzamide, designated as (L). Mixed ligand complexes were prepared in a molar ratio (1:1:1) (M:1,10-phen, L) at concentrations of 10-4M by interacting L and 1,10-phenanthroline, with the following metal ions (Cr+3, Mn+2, Zn+2, Pd+2, Cd+2, Pt+4). These complexes exhibited different geometric shapes, including (octahedral for both Cr+3, Mn+2, Pt+4, tetrahedral for Zn+2 and Cd+2, an

This study aimed to extract and purify anthocyanins from red onion peels, characterize their active constituents, and evaluate their selective in vitro cytotoxicity against the triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell line CAL-51 relative to non-tumorigenic Normal Human Fibroblast (NHF) cells. Methods: Anthocyanins were extracted with acidified aqueous ethanol, purified using silica gel G60 column chromatography and characterized by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). Satellite imagery is one of the powerful tools currently utilized for capturing and getting vital information from the Earth's surface. But the complexity and the vast amount of data make it challenging and time-consuming for humans to process. However, with the advancement of deep learning techniques, the processes are now computerized for finding vital information using real-time satellite images. This paper applied three deep-learning algorithms for satellite image classification
