A Novel Technique for Secure Data Cryptosystem Based on Chaotic Key Image Generation
...Show More Authors

The advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), within the previous decades, has significantly changed people’s transmit or store their information over the Internet or networks. So, one of the main challenges is to keep these information safe against attacks. Many researchers and institutions realized the importance and benefits of cryptography in achieving the efficiency and effectiveness of various aspects of secure communication. This work adopts a novel technique for secure data cryptosystem based on chaos theory. The proposed algorithm generate 2-Dimensional key matrix having the same dimensions of the original image that includes random numbers obtained from the 1-Dimensional logistic chaotic map for given control parameters, which is then processed by converting the fractional parts of them through a function into a set of non-repeating numbers that leads to a vast number of unpredicted probabilities (the factorial of rows times columns). Double layers of rows and columns permutation are made to the values of numbers for a specified number of stages. Then, XOR is performed between the key matrix and the original image, which represent an active resolve for data encryption for any type of files (text, image, audio, video, … etc). The results proved that the proposed encryption technique is very promising when tested on more than 500 image samples according to security measurements where the histograms of cipher images are very flatten compared with that for original images, while the averages of Mean Square Error is very high (10115.4) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio is very low (8.17), besides Correlation near zero and Entropy close to 8 (7.9975).

OCCURANCE OF ADULT MUSCID FLIES ON STICKY TRAPS IN SOME IRAQI PROVINCES
...Show More Authors

Muscid flies Musca domestica L., M. biseta Hough, M. crassirostris Stein, M. sorbens Wied., Muscina stabulans (Fallen), Atherigona orientalis Schiner, Atherigona sp. and Limnophora quaterna (Loew) were captured by using yellow sticky traps from different provinces of Iraq during November 2010. The results showed the highest percentage of all collected species were recorded in Babylon (48.33%), while the lowest percentage was observed in Baghdad (4.88%). Musca domestica was the predominant species and was ranked first in overall prevalence in all provinces studies, while M. biseta was the lowest abundant specie

Evaluation of Hemolysis Activity of Zerumbone on RBCs and Brine Shrimp Toxicity
...Show More Authors

Zerumbone is a well-known compound having anti-cancer, anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory and anti-hyperglycemic effects. During its use for the disease treatment, the membrane of erythrocyte can be affected by consumption of this bioactive compound. The current study was the first report of investigation of the hemolytic activities on human erythrocytes and cytotoxic profile of zerumbone. The toxicity of zerumbone on human erythrocytes was determined by in vitro hemolytic assay. Brine shrimp lethality assay was used to evaluate the cytotoxic effect of zerumbone at concentrations 10, 100 and 1000 μg/mL. The human erythrocyte test showed no significant toxicity at low concentrations, whereas hemolytic effect was amplified up to 17.5

Irradiation effect of 780-805nm diode laser on wound healing in mice
...Show More Authors

Background: Wound healing is a complicated, interactive, integrative process involving cellular and chemotactic activity, the release of chemical mediators and associated vascular response which includes number of phases: inflammatory phase, proliferative phase and remodeling phase. Low level laser therapy can be more effective in the three overlapping phases of wound healing. Biostimulation appears to have an effect on the cellular level, by increasing cellular function and stimulating various cells. The aim of present study was to evaluate histologically the effect of 780-805 diode laser the intensity of inflammation and pattern of epithelization in mice model. Material and methods: The experimental study was performed on ninety six white

Effect of lead on biofilm formation by environmental isolates of Bacillus spp.
...Show More Authors

Biofilm formation is one of the biggest challenges of scientists. Role of heavy metals in forming biofilm is not clear enough. Here, the effect of lead on biofilm formation by Bacillus spp. isolated from soil in terms of biofilm formation and remove was studied. In present study, 10 isolates of Bacillus spp were isolated from soil. The ability of all isolates to form biofilm was evaluated. The effect of lead on biofilm formation was studied by adding lead (pb) before forming biofilm. In another experiment the lead was added after biofilm formation to study the effect of lead on biofilm remove. The current study, showed the ability of all studied isolates to form biofilm. Maximum biofilm formation by Bacillus spp isolate number 8 (B8) follow

Effect Of heat Treatment On The Optical Properties Of CuInSe2 Thin Films
...Show More Authors

CuInSe2(CIS) thin films have been prepared by use vacuum thermal evaporation technique, of thickness750 nm with rate of deposition 1.8±0.1 nm/sec on glass substrate at room temperature and pressure (10-5) mbar. Heat treatment has been carried out in the range (400-600) K for all samples. The optical properties of the CIS thin films are been studied such as (absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary dielectric constant) by determined using Measurement absorption and transmission spectra. Results showed that through the optical constants we can make to control it are wide applications as an optoelectronic devices and photovoltaic applications.

Theoretical Study of The Heating Effect of Laser Radiations on SiUcaGlass Systems
...Show More Authors

A theoretical study has been proposed to investigate the effects of different laser radiations (Nd - glass, DF and C02) as a heating source on different glass samples (Optical glass, Bk - 7 and Soda - lime glass) and different waves lengths (10.6, 3.8, 1.6) ???. The heat changes as which are resulted due irradiation with laser sources have been determined by using the one dimension mathematical relation as a function of time (t) and depth (z). The results of the study show ed that the irradiation with C02 laser had a greater effect than DF laser, while the effects of Nd - glass laser were minimal with a power density of (1.8*10?? w/m2) within atime(l^sec).(Forboth Kinds) The change in the temperatures were not exceeded than (70"K) in all sa

Investigation on Field Performance of Plowing and Harvesting Potatoes in Southern Baghdad
...Show More Authors

This field experiment, was conducted to investigate a comparison of two methods for harvesting potatoes: mechanical and handy when using moldboard and chisel plow for primary tillage and three different distances for planting tubers in the rows 15, 25, and 35 cm in silt clay loam soil south of Baghdad. The factorial experiment followed a randomized complete block design with three replications using L.S.D. 5 % and 1 %. Mechanical harvest recorded the best valid potato tubers at 88.78 %, marketable yield of 31.74 ton. ha-1, efficiency lifted 95.68 %, tubers damage index 28.41, speeding up the harvesting process and reducing time and effort. Handy harvest gave the least damage to potato tubers, 6.02 %, and unlifted potato tubers, 4.32 %. Howe
