The average concentration of radionuclide’s in the various banana samples were collected from being the most popular markets in Baghdad city - Iraq were measured by use Sodium Iodide Thallium [NaI(Tl)] detector. The radionuclide’s observed with reliable regularity belonged to the series-decay naturally occurring radionuclide’s headed by 232U and 232Th as well as the non-series nuclide, 40K and 137Cs. The average concentration of 40K was found the least average concentration value recorded as876.74625Bq kg-1.The average concentration of 238U was 28.6425Bqkg-1for ²³²Th, it was found to have the average concentration 14.1805 Bqkg-1. The cesium concentration in the sample was found in the healthy range.

Beta-carotene pigment was extracted from 6 strains collected from different sources related to some species of the genus Rhodotorula sp. The maximum productivity was in the strain Rhodotorula  mucilaginosa BA61 with amount 10.25 gm/l. The minimum productivity was from the strain R. minuta BA78 with amount 5.39 gm/l. The effects of the chemical mutagen (MNNG) and the physical mutagen (UVC) on the viability of the strains was studied. Mastitis is an udder tissue inflammation which has infected various species of animals. It happens through several types of pathogenic bacteria, particularly Streptococcus agalactiae. GBS is a leading cause of cow mastitis. In our sample, 9.52% of Streptococcus agalactiae were isolated which were collected from bovine mastic milk and identified by biochemical tests such as catalase, oxidase, Production of indole, fermentation of sugar, an examination of antibiotic sensitivity, CAMP test and group kits of Lancefield. Because of Citrobacter freundii medical and economical importance and that there are only little local studies about it, this study aimed to isolate and identify this important bacterial species from others that have a similar biochemical and morphological characteristics. Twenty five chicken meat samples were collected randomly from local markets in Baghdad city during 2017; Citrobacter was isolated from the collected samples using selective and differential media and identified using biochemical tests, the identification was confirmed using Vitek 2 compact and polymerase chain reaction for 16S rRNA and the isolated bacteria identified as C. freundii.
