Frequency of Hypothyroidism in Patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome.

Background: Fibromyalgia (FMS) is characterized by chronic widespread pain and allodynia (pain from stimuli which are not normally painful with pain that may occur other than in the area stimulated) of more than 3 months duration. The current hypothesis of the etiology of FMS includes inflammatory and neuroendocrine disorders. Many features of fibromyalgia and hypothyroidism are virtually the same, and thyroid hormone treatment trials have reduced or eliminated fibromyalgia symptoms. These findings led the authors to test the hypothesis that fibromyalgia patients are hypometabolic compared to matched control .

Response of The Ionospheric E- Region Critical Frequency and Virtual Height to the Solar Cycle 22 over Baghdad

      The aim of this study is to investigate the response of the Ionospheric E- region critical frequency foE and virtual height h’E parameters to the solar cycle 22 over Baghdad city (latitude 33.3˚N, longitude 44.4˚E). Both parameters display a high relationship with the sunspot relative number within the ascending and descending phases of the solar cycle. Heartbeat Amplification and ECG Drawing from Video (Black and White or Colored Videos)

Electrocardiography (ECG or EKG) is the process of recording the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time using electrodes placed on the skin. The main idea is how to detect activity of the heart from skin that appears in video without using electrodes. This paper, proposes an algorithm that works on analyzing video frames to detect heartbeats from tiny changes that happen in a skin color luminance (brightness) and then using them to amplifying heartbeat and drawing ECG. The results show that the heartbeat was detected and amplified and ECG was drawing from any part of the human body in different situations and from different video.

A comparative study of amino acids in stomach regions of Felis catus (Domestic cat) and Sciurus carolinesis (Eastern gray squirrel)

In this work, the relationship between the ionospheric parameters (Maximum Usable Frequency (MUF), Lowest Usable Frequency (LUF) and Optimum working Frequency (OWF)) has been studied for the ionosphere layer over the Iraqi zone.
