This study evaluated biological pollution in the Tigris River within Baghdad City during 2024 using bacterial indicators and selected physicochemical parameters. Two sampling stations were selected near the Sharq Dijla and Al-Karama drinking-water purification plants. Fifty samples from each station were collected monthly from January to December 2024 and analyzed for turbidity, total coliforms, fecal coliforms, E. coli, and total viable bacterial counts using conventional culture and dilution-based plate-count methods. Turbidity ranged from 16 to 220 NTU and exceeded the permissible limit. The study focuses on assessment of the quality of some image enhancement methods which were implemented on renal X-ray images. The enhancement methods included Imadjust, Histogram Equalization (HE) and Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE). The images qualities were calculated to compare input images with output images from these three enhancement techniques. An eight renal x-ray images are collected to perform these methods.
