Soils at Al-Koot-Btera were choosen to determine their sedimentary
environments. It is found that there are , five soil series and as mentioned :
MF11-MW9-DM97-DM57-DF95 . The five found soil series are of internal
well drained ,moderate and imperfect. Their textures vary in moderately,fine
and moderately fine.

diameter Md Ø range between 4.11-7.80 Ø .The relation between the sorting
and median diameter shows that 95.24% of samples is a sedimentary
environment of aquite river , while 4.76% is aeolian sediments.

Hydrocarbons in water, in order to monitor effectively and provide possible
recommendations to improve the water quality in the aquatic ecosystem of Tigris
River near Al-Dora refinery. Distribution and concentration of the sixteen polycyclic
aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were studied in surface water. Solid-phase extraction
was used for water samples, and then analyzed by HPLC. Results showed that the
highest and the most dominant (PAH) was ancephthlnene (3-ring PAH), with

The object of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of safranin O (SFO), dye removal with application of Thuja orientalis as a low-cost biosorbent. The biosorption equilibrium level was determined as a function of pH, adsorbent dose, contact time and temperature. Surface area and pore size distribution were measured for the adsorbent. Thuja has a good removal effeciency for SFO dye. The adsorption kinetics data were best fit for the pseudo-second order kinetic (the regression coefficient = 0.999).
