In this research, titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) were prepared through the sol-gel process at an acidic medium (pH3).TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared from titanium trichloride (TiCl3) as a precursor with Ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) with 1:3 ratio at 50 °C. The resulting gel was dried at 70 °C to obtain the Nanocrystalline powder. The powder from the drying process was treated thermally at temperatures 500 °C and 700 °C. The crystalline structure, surface morphology, and particle size were studied by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The results showed (anatase) phase of titanium dioxide with the average grain size of 110 nm at 500 °C calcination temperature, and (anatase- rutile) mixed phase of titanium dioxide with the average particle size of 118.1 nm at 700 °C calcination temperature. The anti-bacterial activity of the synthesis specimens was recorded through the Kirby-Bauer disc method (disc devotion method). The results displayed a pretty excellent antibacterial activity of TiO2 NPs to bacteria strains: Gram positive staphylococcus aureus, gram negative pseudomonas aeruginosa, and "gram negative escherichia coli. The sensitivity of the tested bacteria to TiO2 NPs depends on the oxidation state of the TiO2 NPs, particle size, volume, and the density of the unit cell. The small- average particle size of titanium dioxide particles showed high antibacterial activity against bacteria, while the larger- average particle size of titanium dioxide particles showed less antibacterial activity. The novelty of this production is the manufacturing of a novel kind of TiO2 NPs and achievement its best antibacterial activity.
Abstract
The use of modern scientific methods and techniques, is considered important topics to solve many of the problems which face some sector, including industrial, service and health. The researcher always intends to use modern methods characterized by accuracy, clarity and speed to reach the optimal solution and be easy at the same time in terms of understanding and application.

The general goal of the study determined the formulation and solution of the following tasks: -identify the color words «black» and «white» in the book of the novel, determine their semantics and frequency of use; -show the compatibility of color words in order to detect typical contexts for the implementation of aesthetic and social meanings of color vocabulary,. We determined the composition of the lexical-semantic group is based on the commonality of the logical-subject content of adjectives or their individual meanings, which is detected by the presence of connections between lexical meanings. Semantic connections between lexical meanings a

The method is based on the oxidation of drugs with known excess bromate-bromide mixture in acidic medium and subsequent determination of unreacted oxidant by quenching fluorescence of AF. Fluorescence intensity of residual AF was measured at 528 nm after excitation at 402 nm. The fluorescence-concentration plots were rectilinear over the ranges 0.1-3.0, 0.05-2.6 and 0.1-3.8 µg ml-1 with lower detection limits of 0.013, 0.018 and 0.021 µg ml-1 an

To achieve this, a unique electrochemical cell design was adopted comprising two glass chambers, a supported liquid membrane (SLM), a graphite anode, and a stainless-steel cathode. The SLM consisted of a polypropylene flat membrane infused with 1-octanol as a solvent and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate (DEHP) as a carrier. The impact of various factors on the kinetics constant rate was outlined, including the applied voltage, initial pH of the donor phase solution, and initial copper concentration. The results demonstrated a significant influence of the applied voltage on enhancing the rate of c

Show MoreThe main factors that make it possible to get the corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete are chloride ions and the absorption of carbon dioxide from the environment, and each of them works with a mechanism which destroys the stable immunity of rebar in the concrete. In this work the effect of carbon dioxide content in the artificial concrete solution on the corrosion behavior of carbon steel reinforcing bar (CSRB) was studied, potentiostatically using CO2 stream gas at 6 level of concentrations; 0.03 to 2.0 weight percent, and the effect of rising electrolyte temperature was also followed in the range 20 to 50ᴼ C.
