Comparison for the optical energy gap between pure
PMMA , PMMA-TiO2 micro composites and PMMA-TiO2 nano
composites have been investigated under uv – radiation , the
effect of time irradiation (0,6,12,24,48,72,96 and 120) have been
studied for these specimens to study the photic stability .The
results show that the photostability of the PMMA-TiO2
nanocomposite is higher than that of the pure PMMA and
PMMA-TiO2 micro composite under UV-light irradiation

The wear behavior of alumina particulate reinforced A332 aluminium alloy composites produced by a stir casting process technique were investigated. A pin-on-disc type apparatus was employed for determining the sliding wear rate in composite samples at different grain size (1 µm, 12µm, 50 nm) and different weight percentage (0.05-0.1-0.5-1) wt% of alumina respectively. An analytical method and a two-dimensional finite element model for treating the problem of laser heating and melting has been applied to aluminum 2519T87and stainless steel 304. The time needed to melt and vaporize and the effects of laser power density on the melt depth for two metals are also obtained. In addition, the depth profile and time evolution of the temperature before melting and after melting are given, in which a discontinuity in the temperature gradient is obviously observed due to the latent heat of fusion and the increment in thermal conductivity in solid phase. The analytical results that induced by  laser irradiation is in good agreement with numerical results.
