The present paper is an experimental study to improve the productivity of the conventional solar still. This done by modifying conventional still in a way that the distilled basin is larger than distillation basin, thus providing an increase in the condensation surface and speeding up the condensation process. Moreover, increase in the dimensions of the distilled base helps coupling reflective panels to the distilled base to reflect incident solar radiation to the distillation basin. This study aimed to explain the relationship between hyperthyroidism and asthma by indicating the effect of thyroid hormones (T3 and T4) on leptin and IgE levels.To determine whether T3 and T4 alters serum leptin and IgE levels, twenty newly diagnosis hyperthyroidism patients,twenty asthma patients, ten asthma with hyperthyroidism patients and ten (healthy) as a control were studied. Serum samples were collected to measure the leptin and IgE levels in addition to T3,T4 and TSH Levels. In present study, an attempt has been made to investigate the effect of Chlorpyrifos insecticide on carp Cyprinus carpio L. through acute toxicity bioassay. The LC50 were estimated as 1897, 1266, 985 and 792 μg/L during 24 , 48, 72 and 96 hr. respectively by using the concentrations 500 , 1000, 1500 , 2000, 2500 and 3000 μg/L indicating high sensitivity of fish to chlorpyrifos. The behavioral response observed in the fish were erratic swimming, loss of reflex, hyperactivities, decrease in appetite secretion of mucus, increase movement of operculum and hyperventilation . These effects increased with increasing concentration of the chlorpyrifos and duration of exposure.
