This paper studies the thermal energy storage property for polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) / paraffin wax (WPw) blends. To enhance paraffin wax thermal conductivity, PVOH as a material which high conductivity was employed. A fixed weight of Paraffin wax was dispersed with PVOH heterogeneously at different additive weights ratios of PVOH/Pw (50/50, 67/33, 75/25, and 80/20) wt. ratio respectively. The study was conducted to identify the toxicity of chromium on scenedesmus quadricauda algae alone and in the presence of nutrient metal (Nitrogen). In this study; the genus of Sinoxylon Duftschmid, 1825 (Coleoptera, Bostrichidae) was revised. There were 3 species registered in our investigations: S. anale Lesne, 1897; S. ceratoniae (Linnaeus, 1758) and S. muricatum (Olivier, 1790), the last species was redescribed as being found for the first time for the Iraqi faunal insects. Key to the species were constructed and supported by figures of the main diagnostic characters and some morphological features.

At the temperature 298.15 K, some physical properties such as: refractive indices (nD), viscosities (η) and densities (ρ) were studied in four liquid-liquid mixtures: carboxylic acids (HCOOH, CH3COOH, CH3CH2COOH and CH3CH2CH2COOH) with tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol (THFA) with the identified configuration set. These empirical data were utilized to estimate the excess molar volumes (Vm E), refractive index perversions (ΔR), viscosity deviations (ηE) and excess molar Gibbs free energy (ΔG*E).
