Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the association between caries related microorganisms in children’s saliva, such as Streptococcus mutans and lactobacilli, and their demographic factors. Methods: This study involved a sample of 135, both sexes with an age range between 3 and 10 years. Unstimulated saliva was obtained and diluted in normal saline. Saliva was then placed in selective media. Salivaris agar was used for mutans streptococci while Rogosa agar for lactobacilli. After incubation, Streptococcus mutans counting of CFU (colony forming units) with morphology characterization and numbers of CFU per milliliter of saliva for lactobacilli. Demographic factors information was collected using a questionnaire.

In this work ester derivatives were synthesized by the reaction of imidazole derivatives (C1) with ethylchloroacetate in ethanol and NaOH to give the corresponding (C2) .While compound (C3) acetohydrazide was synthesized by the reaction of ester derivatives (C2) with hydrazine hydrat in ethanol. Compound (C3) from the reaction with different aromatic aldehydes in absolute ethanol gave the Schiff′s bases (C4,C5). Background: Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL), formerly called Hodgkin's diseases is an uncommon form of lymphoma. The incidence of Hodgkin's lymphoma shows marked heterogeneity with respect to age, gender, race, geographic area, social class and histological subtype. This study was carried out in an attempt to evaluate the incidence of Hodgkin's lymphoma of head and neck in Baghdad city. Materials and Methods: The diagnosed cases of Hodgkin's lymphoma of head and neck region in Baghdad city between (1990-1999) were collected and analyzed according to age, gender, site and the histopathological subtypes of the tumor. Results: Out of (702) cases of Hodgkin's lymphoma of ten years between (1990-1999),(362 ) of them were occurred in the head and neck
