The reactions of ozone with 2,3-Dimethyl-2-Butene (CH3)2C=C(CH3)2 and 1,3-Butadiene CH2=CHCH=CH2 have been investigated under atmospheric conditions at 298±3K in air using both relative and absolute rate techniques, and the measured rate coefficients are found to be in good agreement in both techniques used. The obtained results show the addition of ozone to the double bond in these compounds and how it acts as function of the methyl group substituent situated on the double bond. The yields of all the main products have been determined using FTIR and GC-FID and the product studies of these reactions establish a very good idea for the decomposition pathways for the primary formed compounds (ozonides) and give a good information for the effect of the methyl group on the degradation pathways. The results have been discussed from the view point of their importance in the atmospheric oxidation of these pollutants.
An experimental and numerical study has been carried out to investigate the forced convection heat transfer by clean or dusty air in a two dimensional annulus enclosure filled with porous media (glass beads) between two vertical concentric cylinders. The outer cylinder is of (82 mm) outside diameters and the inner cylinder of (27 mm) outside diameter. Under steady state condition; the inner cylinder surface is maintained at a high temperature by applying a uniform heat flux and the outer cylinder surface at an ambient temperature. The investigation covered values of input power of (6.3, 4.884, 4.04 and 3.26 W), Reynolds number values of (300, 700, 1000, 1500, and 2000) and dust ratio values (density number N) of (2, 4, 6 and 8). Spent hydrodesulfurization (Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3) catalyst generally contains valuable metals like molybdenum (Mo), cobalt (Co), aluminium (Al) on a supporting material, such as γ-Al2O3. In the present study, a two stages alkali/acid leaching process was conducted to study leaching of cobalt, molybdenum and aluminium from Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. The acid leaching of spent catalyst, previously treated by alkali solution to remove molybdenum, yielded a solution rich in cobalt and aluminium.
Objectives: To evaluate health education services at primary health care centers in Kirkuk Governorate.
Methodology: A descriptive (evaluative) study a simple random sample of (384) person is selected through
the use of probability sampling approach. The sample of study is divided into three groups which include (320)
consumers, (32) health educators and (32) organization structure (in the (32) primary health care centers).
They are comprised of three questionnaires and overall items included in these questionnaires are (157) items.
The study included assessment of organization structure, such as work place, material, resources, and
workforce, demographic characteristics of care providers and consumers and activities an
Background: The immune system of the oral cavity suffers alterations due to fixed orthodontic treatment which act as potent stimulus for oral secretory immunity. The aims of this study are to estimate the effect of fixed orthodontic appliance on the level of salivary sIgA at different time intervals, and to verify the gender difference. Materials and method: The patient's history, clinical examination, and fixed orthodontic appliances were placed for 30 Iraqi orthodontic adult patients had class II division 1 and/ or class I malocclusion (15 males and 15 females) aged 18-25 years old. The unstimulated whole saliva was collected from each sample immediately before wearing fixed appliance (control group T0 as base line), and after 2 weeks (T1

This in vitro study was conducted to evaluate the effect of exposing stretched clear elastomeric chains from six different companies (Ortho Technology, Ormco, Ortho Organizer, American Orthodontics, Opal and G&H companies) to three types of dietary media (tea, coffee and turmeric). Materials and methods: A total of 960 lengths of six modules were cut from short type elastomeric chain; 160 pieces from each brand. The specimens were stretched 50%, placed on plastic boards, and incubated in water at 37°C for 1 day, 7 days, 14 days and 28 days. Once a

Methodology: A Pre-experimental, one group design, was carried out to achieve the objectives of the current study using the evaluation approach and the implementation of the education program for the period from January 17 to June 31, 2022. A non- probability, purposive sample of (24) nurses were selected from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Pediatric Teaching Hospital/ Medical City Department. A checklist w

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the outcome of long-term results of dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) techniques in specialized eye care center in Iraq.
Subjects and Method: This is a prospective study of 650 patients from July 2014 to July 2019 with nasolacrimal duct obstruction in Ibn Al Haitham Eye Teaching Hospital. A preoperative questionnaire was done, then one month, three months, six months and one year postoperatively. The success of surgery defined as follow; Absence of epiphora completely, Resolve of dacryocele or mucocele or any new attack of daryocystitis, Appearance of fluorescein dye from nose in fluorescein disappearance test, Successful irriga

Electron density was calculated using Anisimov model in a vacuum environment. The effect of spatial coordinates on the electron density was investigated in this study. It was found that the Z axis distance direction affects the electron number density (ne). There are many processes such as excitation; ionization and recombination within the plasma that possible affect the density of electrons. The results show that as Z axis distance increases electron number density decreases because of the recombination of electrons and ions at large distances from the target and the loss of thermal energy of the electrons in high distance
