This research discusses the developmental role of the social worker in providing care for children at risk. The research is desicriptive in nature include both the theoretical and field aspects. The theoretical aspect focuses on the characteristics and requirements of these children and what forms and implications are exposed to them by society, what is the developmental role of the social worker in the rehabilitation of this group. As for the field aspect, the study sample took a (40) social workers who working in Aiwa institutions inside Baghdad. A questionnaire of (14) questions was used as tool to collect the needed data.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) has been viewed as a power affecting economic growth (EG) directly and indirectly during the past few decades. This paper reviewed an amount of researches examining the relationships between FDI and EG, especially the effects of FDI on EG, from 1994 up to 2012. The results show that the main finding of the FDI-EG relation is significantly positive, but in some cases it is negative or even null. This study was conducted on the workers of the brick kilns at Al- Nahrawan area south-east of Baghdad city to investigate the effect of the pollutant emissions (fumes and gases) released from the burned fuel in this kiln. Blood samples were taken from group individuals of workers at this brick kilns and non-working individuals as a control. The influence of these emissions on the workers' health was measured by examining certain chromosomal aberrations among the workers. These aberrations were a formation of: chromosomal rings, dicentric chromosomes, breaks arm and acentric fragments.
