The effect of aqueous crude extract of ginger on the histology of corpus luteum and the concentration of hormones estrogen and progesterone in pregnant mice
...Show More Authors

This study was designed to investigate the effect of aqueous extract of ginger Zingiber officinale Roscoe on the histology of corpus luteum and the concentration of the hormones progesterone and estrogen during the first trimester of pregnancy (0 - 7) days from fertilization. 30 pregnant mice were divided into five experimental groups: control group (administrated with distilled water), and four groups treated at doses (284, 568, 1136,1420 mg / kg), orally administrated , daily with (0.1 ml). Microscopic examination results have shown histopathological changes in corpus luteum included: Pyknosis in some nuclei of granulosa cells, Karyorrhexis, Karyolysis in some granulosa cells, and necrosis in corpus luteum, with additional significant decrease in the average of diameters of corpus luteum at level (P <0.05). The results of the concentration of progesterone and estrogen hormones show a significant decrease in the average concentration of progesterone, and no significant difference in the average concentration of estrogen at a level (P <0.05) in all using doses.

The problem of the study is to monitor the content presented in the Iraqi satellite channels to identify the nature of the ideas contained in these ads and to identify the values carried by the creative strategies and ad campaigns that use. Where the satellite is one of the most important technological developments in the field of communications in the nineties and the ads in various forms and functions one of the contents provided by satellite channels where these channels are keen to direct their messages in particular and communication, in general, to address a certain audience and convince and influence in order to achieve certain purposes of the source Or the body from which it originates, especially those that result in an in

The Play as Intellectual Ping-Pong: Art and Politics in Tom Stoppard's Travesties
...Show More Authors

Throughout history, artists have played many important roles in society.

Generally speaking, the role of the artist is defined by the society he is part of.

Indeed, there are as many ideas as to the role of the artist and, ultimately the purpose

of art in society, as there are types of art. This is, as a matter of fact, neither a new

question- the dialogue has been present within art for centuries- nor probably one

that will ever fully be answered.

Tom Stoppard came to prominence in the mid-sixties, when art and politics

were closely linked, and theatre sought to change the world. Stoppard would have

none of that: his work has no overt message, no political program. In fact,

Comparison Study of Adsorption of Lead and Methylene Blue on Zeolite, Activated Carbon and Their Composite Materials
...Show More Authors

In this study, composite materials consisting of Activated Carbon (AC) and Zeolite were prepared for application in the removal of methylene blue and lead from an aqueous solution. The optimum synthesis method involves the use of metakaolinization and zeolitization, in the presence of activated carbon from kaolin, to form Zeolite. First, Kaolin was thermally activated into amorphous kaolin (metakaolinization); then the resultant metakaolin was attacked by alkaline, transforming it into crystalline zeolite (zeolitization). Using nitrogen adsorption and SEM techniques, the examination and characterization of composite materials confirmed the presence of a homogenous distribution of Zeolite throughout the activated carbon.

Extraction and Characterization of rapeseed oil (Brassca campestris ) and it's Effected on Microorganisms
...Show More Authors

Oil from Brassca campestris (local variety) was extracted with hexane using Soxhlet. The extracted oil was characterized and its antimicrobial activity was determined as well. The content of extracted oil was 40% with 0.5% of volatile oil .Oil was immiscible with polar solvent such as ethanol, acetone and water, while it was easily miscible with chloroform due to its hydrophobicity. The result of organoleptic tests revealed that the oil is clear yellow in color and odorless with acceptable taste. The oil was stable at 4 -25 C? for a month. Refractive index (RI) of oil was 1.4723 with density of 0.914, [both at 4-25 C?]. Boiling point 386 C?. Infra red spectroscopy (IR) indicated the presence of different chemical groups (C=C

On (σ,τ)-Derivations and Commutativity of Prime and Semi prime Γ-rings
...Show More Authors

Let R be a Г-ring, and σ, τ be two automorphisms of R. An additive mapping d from a Γ-ring R into itself is called a (σ,τ)-derivation on R if d(aαb) = d(a)α σ(b) + τ(a)αd(b), holds for all a,b ∈R and α∈Γ. d is called strong commutativity preserving (SCP) on R if [d(a), d(b)]α = [a,b]α(σ,τ) holds for all a,b∈R and α∈Γ. In this paper, we investigate the commutativity of R by the strong commutativity preserving (σ,τ)-derivation d satisfied some properties, when R is prime and semi prime Г-ring.

Effects of Ascorbic, Citric, and Humic Acids on Maize Stem and Leaf Anatomy
...Show More Authors

Anatomical changes in internal tissue of stem and leaf when seed and plant treated with acids to enhance growth and development in maize was studied during the spring seasons of 2019 and 2020. Randomized complete block design was used with three replications. Main plots received foliar nutrition treatments, including ascorbic acid (AA), citric acid (CA), and humic acid (HA) at concentrations of 100 mg L−1, alongside HA at 1 ml L−1, with distilled water as the control. Sub-plots underwent corresponding treatments for seed soaking. Results indicated variations in vascular bundle size among treatments, with foliar CA treatment showing superior results in both years, as well as seed soaking in CA and HA. Interaction effects were observed, n

Physiological and Hormonal Effects of Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles on Thyroid and Kidney Functions

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2 NPs) are generally used in different types of applications such as the industry of plastics, paper industry, paints, toothpaste, cosmetics, sunscreens, and in various lifestyles, because of the vast range of applications and our daily exposure to these nanoparticles and a lack of information on animal and human health this study was designed to reveal dose and time-dependent effects of TiO2-NPs on the thyroid gland and kidney functions in male rats.

For this study 54, Sprague-Dawley albino adult male rats were classified into three main groups each of 18 rats treated for a particular duration (1,2, and 4) weeks respectively. Each group was subdivided i

The Wound Healing Potential of Iraqi Origanum majorana L n-Hexane and Ethyl Acetate Fractions in a Rat Model of Excisional Wound Repair: Pre-Clinical Test
...Show More Authors

Origanum majorana (Majorana hortensis), an evergreen herbaceous plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family, has been well known for being used for gastrointestinal, cardiac, respiratory, rheumatologic and many other illnesses, but in wounds management hasn’t been qualified scientifically yet. The goal of the study was to evaluate the wound healing properties of sterols in n-hexane and phenols in ethyl acetate extract fractions of the Iraqi Origanum majorana L aerial parts by contrasting their wound healing abilities with those of commercially available MEBO ointment in a rat excised wound repair model. At various periods, the size of the wounds was measured and skin tissue samples were taken for histopathology. When compared to positive and
