This study was designed to evaluate the effect of aqueous extract of Arabidopsis thaliana seeds on reducing glucose level for white albino mice. This work describes the inhibition effect of different concentration of an aqueous extract of Peganum harmala seed on the corrosion of carbon steel in 3.5 % sodium chloride solution using potentiostatic polarization techniques at the temperature range of 25°C to 55°C. The result show that inhibition efficiency increased with increasing concentration of the inhibitor extracts and temperature. The adsorption of inhibitor on carbon steel surface was fit into Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Kinetic and thermodynamic parameters governing the corrosion and adsorption process were calculated and discussed.

This paper is focused on studying the effect of cutting parameters (spindle speed, feed and depth of cut) on the response (temperature and tool life) during turning process. The inserts used in this study are carbide inserts coated with TiAlN (Titanum, Aluminium and Nitride) for machining a shaft of stainless steel 316L. Finite difference method was used to find the temperature distribution. The experimental results were done using infrared camera while the simulation process was performed using Matlab software package.
