A high-performance liquid chromatography method was employed for the quantitative determination of ascorbic acid (AA) which called vitamin C in three types of Iraqi citrus (orange mandarin and aurantium ) and to establish this goal , evaluation of ascorbic acid degradation is so important due to its significant criticality when exposure to ordinary atmospheric conditions. The chromatographic analysis of AA was carried out after their sequential elution with KH2PO4 ( as mobile phase) by reverse-phase HPLC technique with C8 column and UV detection at 214 nm. .Bad resolutions was appeared clearly for C8 column , so another alternative condition were carried out to improve the resolution by replacement of C8 by C18 column .Statistical treatments were used to calculate relative standard deviation (RSD%) for the results to gain acceptable confidence to the present work , so the linearity of calibration curve, accuracy, and repeatability of this method are all satisfactory.
The aim of this research is to determine the uranium concentration and its distribution in many sheep organs that live in different region of Iraq. The uranium concentration in tissue samples is measured by using fission tracks registration in CR-39 detector that caused by the bombardment of U235 with thermal neutrons from (241Am-Be) neutron source of thermal flux (5x 103 n.cm-2. s-1). The method is based on the oxidation of pyrocatechol with iron (III) in an acidic medium, followed by the reaction with folic acid (FA) to produce a stable, water-soluble orange compound with maximum absorption at 350 nm versus the blank reagent. The complex of charge transfer was studied under optimal conditions; the titration graph was linear over the range of 0.5-25 μg/mL with a relative error of 1.2-2.8 and a relative standard deviation of 2.43-1.45 depending on the concentration level.

The analytical results show that the cultivation medium contained high concentration of (Na, Al, Si, S, K, Ca, Fe) and low concentration of (Mg, P, Cl, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn).
