In the present work, the possibility of treating many types of radioactive sources was examined practically. Six types of sealed radioactive sources were selected: ¹³⁷Cs, ¹³³Ba, ⁹⁰Sr, ¹⁵²Eu, ²²⁶Ra, and ²⁴¹Am. The sources were exposed to a neutron flux emitted from ²⁴¹Am/Be source for 33 days. The results showed a measurable reduction of activity for ²²⁶Ra, ²⁴¹Am, and ¹⁵²Eu, while the other radionuclides, ¹³⁷Cs, ¹³³Ba, and ⁹⁰Sr, showed less response to neutron incineration.

The aim of the present research is to illustrate γ-ray levels emitting from soil and bitumen producing from 238U, 232Th, and 40K along Abu-Jir Fault Zone. in the area extended from Al-Marj valley to Abu-Jir village using scintillometer device. Existing leachate models over–or underestimates leachate generation by up to three orders of magnitude. Practical experiments show that channeled flow in waste leads to rapid discharge of large leachate volumes and heterogeneous moisture distribution. In order to more accurately predict leachate generation, leachate models must be improved. To predict moisture movement through waste, the two–domain PREFLO, are tested.
