The plant Zizyphus spina-christa grows wildly in the middle and southern of Iraq locally named Nabag. In this study the antibacterial activity of several different plant extract (alcoholic hot and cold extract 80%, aqueous hot and cold extract) was tested against some gram negative bacteria that related to Enterobacteriacea as follow; Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherchia coli Proteus mirabilis, Serratia mercesence,. Aeromonas sp, Klebsiella pneumoniae ,Shigella sp, Salmonella enteritidis (134), S. typhi(97), S. typhimurium (300) , S. typhi, . The results showed that efficient method of extract was alcoholic hot extract from other extract methods that are used in this study. The detection of active compound in crude extracts of the leaves showed positive reaction for alkaloids, flavonoides, saponin,peptides, tannins and carbohydrates , while the aqueous hot and cold extract did not give any reaction against terpenes ,resins and coumarins . Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the ethanolic hot extracts of plants was determined and the results showed that MIC of S.typhi was 25 mg / ml and 250 mg/ml aganist Klebsiella pneumoniae Serratia mercesence , Pseudomonas aeruginosa , while other isolates showed variety in their inhibitory action. the ethanolic hot extracts of plants did not show any bacteriocidal effect against all bacteria that included in this study within concentration that used except S. typhi in concentration 50 mg/ml . The effect of Sub – MIC of the ethanolic hot extract of plant on the production of some virulence factors from selective isolates S. typhi ,showed an inhibitory effect on production of H2S but no effect on others characteristic such, mannitol and glucose fermenter at 20 mg / ml . The electrophoresis of plasmid DNA isolated from bacterial cell treated with, alcoholic hot extract at sub-MIC concentrations had a curing effect on the plasmid of S. typhi .Using infrared spectroscopy spectrum indicates the possible effect of alcoholic hot extract on the conformation of the DNA molecules affecting some of its biological functions.

A method for determining volatile components known as Headspace chromatography (HS-GC) was developed along with an internal standard method (ISM) to identify ethanol in fermented broth in the laboratory. Al-Khriet powder which was found in legs of Typha Domingensis is used as bio sorbent for removing phenolic compounds from aqueous solution. The influence of adsorbent dosage and contact time on removal percentage and adsorb ate amount of phenol and 4- nitro phenol onto Al-Khriet were studied. The highest adsorption capacity was for 4-nitrophenol 91.5% than for phenol 82% with 50 mg/L concentration, 0.5 gm. dosage of adsorbent and pH 6 under a batch condition. The diatom specimens were taken from Tigris River. The environmental DNA(e DNA) extraction and analysis of sequences using the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) method showed the highest percentage of epipelic diatom genera including Achnanthidium minutissimum (Kützing) Czarnecki, 1994 (21.1%), Cocconeis placentula Ehrenberg, 1838 (21.3%) and Nitzschia palea (Kützing) W. Agility is considered an important motor ability for assistant referees and it is vital for passing modern tests issued in September 2016. The researcher used the experimental method. The subjects were (10) referees; four of them for pilot study. The experimental group followed the exercises designed by the while the controlling group used the traditional exercises followed by the refereeing committee. All referees were tested the standardized agility test issued by the FIFA. The researchers concluded that agility plays a vital role in developing some refereeing skill. Finally they recommend developing agility for improving refereeing skills.
One of the most important virulence factors in Pseudomonas aeruginosa is biofilm formation, as it works as a barrier for entering antibiotics into the bacterial cell. Different environmental and nutritional conditions were used to optimize biofilm formation using microtitre plate assay by P. aeruginosa. The low nutrient level of the medium represented by tryptic soy broth (TSB) was better in biofilm formation than the high nutrient level of the medium with Luria Broth (LB). The optimized condition for biofilm production at room temperature (25 °C) is better than at host temperature (37 °C).
