This study aimed to know the concentration of elements content in dairy products. Nine samples collected from the local market in Baghdad, two samples of milk and seven of yoghurt.The results were followed: The ratio of Aluminum In Aluminum cans That is used for storage milk and industrialize yoghurt is about 95.5% ,this ratio is against [1] which said that pureness of Aluminum used in Aluminum cans should not be less than 98-99% . and the ratio of Cadmium reached to 0.001% which is also against [1] which assure that the Aluminum cans should be clean from that element, mean while the concentration of Iron, Copper and Zinc were within the standard level. The highest concentration of Iron was in treatment B2(canon yoghurt)it was 9.95 mg/L while the lowest concentration 4.1 mg/L was in treatment B1 (lab yoghurt). The highest concentration of Copper appeared in treatment B5 it was 4.63 mg/L while the lowest concentration 0.21 mg/L was in treatment B7. The results of this study illustrate that the increase of Zinc in all treatments. The highest level reached to 17.27 mg/L in B3 treatment (Al-washash yoghurt) and 5.18 mg/L as a lowest concentration in B1 treatment (lab yoghurt). The analytic results showed that all of the treatments were cleaned from lead. The highest concentration of Cadmium reached to 0.070 mg/L in B5 treatment (dragh yoghurt) and the lowest concentration reached to 0.023 mg/L was in B4 (Arbeel yoghurt) while treatment B1(lab yoghurt) and B7(kadmiaa yoghurt) were clean from Cadmium concentration when receipt.

... Show MoreThe levels of lead (pb), copper (cu), cobalt (co) and cadmium (cd) were determined in different kinds of milk and the health risks were evaluated. The mean levels were 0.73±0.21, 0.06±0.01, 0.12±0.01 and 0.14±0.01 ppm for these metals respectively. The levels of pb and cu were found to be insignificant differences (p<0.05), whereas the levels of co and cd, were no significant differences (p>0.05). The dry and liquid kinds of milk were different significantly (p<0.05), whereas the original, was no significant differences (p>0.05). The values for all metals were more than one. The metals pb and cd were detected at highest concentrations in most dry and liquid milk samples.
Two hundred staphylococcal isolates isolated from milk and white cheese samples, which were collected from local markets in Baghdad. The predominant species was Staphylococcus aureus 97 isolates (48.5%), followed by S.chromogenes 82 (41%) and 21 (10.5%) S.epidermidis isolates. The pattern of antibiotic susceptibility of Coagulase Positive Staphylococci (COPS) and Coagulase Negative Staphylococci (CONS) isolates to 3 antibiotics (Methicillin, Tetracyclin and Vancomycin) was determined using disc diffusion method; the results revealed that 80 S. aureus isolates (82.47%) found to be methicillin resistant (MRSA) while 8 isolates (8.24%) were vancomycin resistant (VRSA) and 18 S. aureus isolates (18.5%) resist tetracycline antibiotic. Out of 200 staphylococcal isolates isolated from milk and white cheese samples, the predominant species was Staphylococcus aureus 97 isolates (48%), followed by S.chromogenes 82 (41%) and 21 (11%) S.epidermidis isolates. S. aureus isolates were DNase, coagulase, protease, urease, lipase, gelatinase and slime layer producers, other species were variable in the production of such virulence factors. S. chromogenes was the most prevalent isolated staphylococcal species from milk samples; while cheese samples contaminated mainly by S. aureus.

The current study was designed to examine raw milk samples which were collected from different locations of Iraq. The highest mean value of Pb content [1.801±0.311 ppm] was recorded while the lowest mean value [0.941±0.104 ppm]. The highest mean value [1.532±0.124 ppm] and gave the lowest mean value [0.063±0.044 ppm] of Cd content. This study has the highest mean value of Cu content was [0.931±0.092 ppm] and but the lowest mean value was [0.308±0.029 ppm].
