CdO films were deposited on substrates from glass, Silicon and Porous silicon by thermal chemical spray pyrolysis technique with different thicknesses (130 and 438.46) nm. Measurements of X-ray diffraction of CdO thin film proved that the structure of the Polycrystalline is cubic lattice, and its crystallite size is located within nano scale range where the perfect orientation is (200). The results show that the surface’s roughness and the root mean square increased with increasing the thickness of prepared films. The UV-Visible measurements show that the CdO films with different thicknesses possess an allowed direct transition with band gap (4) eV. The primary objective of this study was to determine whether local and imported cigarette brands used in Iraq , have they elevated levels of metals or not .Three metals Lead (Pb) , Cadmium (Cd) and Chromium(Cr) were determined in tobacco of seventeen brands of imported cigarettes commonly available in Iraq and three Iraqi domestic cigarettes , which were randomly taken from retail market in Baghdad by using flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The detection for Single Escherichia Coli Bacteria has attracted great interest and in biology and physics applications. A nanostructured porous silicon (PS) is designed for rapid capture and detection of Escherichia coli bacteria inside the micropore. PS has attracted more attention due to its unique properties. Several works are concerning the properties of nanostructured porous silicon. In this study PS is fabricated by an electrochemical anodization process. The surface morphology of PS films has been studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and atomic force microscope (AFM).
