A total of 680 fish specimens belonging to 31 species from the Yemeni coastal waters of the Red Sea were inspected for the isopod infestations. Four isopod species belonging to three families of the suborder Cymothoida were detected. These are: Aega psora (Linnaeus, 1758) from Lethrinus lentjan, Natatolana insignis Hobbins and Jones, 1993 from Abalistes stellatus, Excorallana tricornis (Hansen, 1890) from Epinephelus fuscoguttatus, E. guttatus and E. tauvina and Alcirona krebsi Hansen, 1890 from Epinephelus microdon. In the present research we the study the deposition of radioactive elements naturally and particularly radioactive radon gas in parts of the body of organisms which are of direct relevance to human life in the city of Baghdad as the samples which were collected from the bones and skin of some kinds of birds and chicken based on the principle that radioactive elements are concentrated always on the bones. We use of this as the exercise detector impact nuclear (CR-39), using the technology Cylindrical diffusion , the results indicated that the largest concentration of radon found in the bone bird Seagull tapered as it was (625 ± 37) Bq.cm-3, and less concentration of radon gas in the chicken bones of Al-kafeel as it was (105 ± 10) Bq.c

Objective: The purpose of this work was to develop and optimize the emulgel formulation of piroxicam with two types of gelling agent chitosan and xanthan gum. The release profiles of prepared formulas were investigated. In addition, the rheology and stability of the best formula were investigated.Methods: Emulsified piroxicam was prepared to use oleic acid, tween 80 and PG with a ratio (3:10:10). In xanthan based emulgel, the xanthan gum (1% and 1.5%) was spread as powder on emulsified piroxicam with stirring until emulgel was formed.
