Synthesis and Characterization of New Metal Complexes of α-Aminonitriles Derived from P- Toluidine and Aromatic Aldehydes
...Show More Authors

New metal complexes of some transition metal ions Co(II), Cu(II) , Cd(II) and Zn(II) were prepared by their reaction with previously prepared ligands HLI= (P-methyl anilino) phenyl acetonitrile and HLII = (P-methyl anilino) –P– chloro phenyl acetonitrile . The two ligands were prepared by Strecker’s procedure which includ the reaction of p- toluidine with benzaldehyde and P- chlorobenzaldehyde respectively. Structures were proposed depending on atomic absorption , i.r. and u.v.visible spectra in addition to magnetic susceptibility and electrical conductivity measurements.

Studies on Surface Morphology and Electrical Conductivity of PS Thin Films in Presence of Divalent Complexes
...Show More Authors

Optical properties and surface morphology of pure and doped Polystyrene films with different divalent metals of Zn, Cu and Sn and one concentration percentage have been studied. Measurements of UV-Vis spectrophotometer and AFM spectroscopy were determined. The absorbance, transmittance and reflectance spectrums were used to study different optical parameters such as absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient and energy gap in the wavelengths rang 200-800nm. These parameters have increased in the presence of the metals. The change in the calculated values of energy gaps with doping metals content has been investigated in terms of PS matrix structural modification. The value of opt

Synthesis of Triazolo and Pyrazolo Derivatives of Quinoline Nucleus
...Show More Authors

New heterocyclic derivatives of quinoline are reported. Reaction of quinoline-2-thiol 4 with hydrazine hydrate gave 2-hydrazionoquinoline 5. Treatment of 5 with CS2 in pyridine afforded 1,2,4-triazolo-[4,3-a]- quinolin-1-2H-thione 6, whereas the reaction of 5 with carboxylic acids namely formic acid or acetic acid, yielded the 1,2,4-triazol-[4,3-a]-quinolin 7 or 5-methyl-1,2,4-triazolo [4,3-a]-quinoline 8 through ring closure. Diazotization of 5 under acidic conditions produced the fused tetrazole compound 9, tetrzolo-[1,5-a]- quinoline. Moreover, treatment of 5 with active methlyene compounds gave two pyrazole derivatives 10 and 11. Azomethines 12a-e were prepared through condensation of 5 with aromatic aldehydes or ketones.

Synthesis and Atimicrobial Evaluation of Deuterated Analogues of Metronidazole
...Show More Authors

The discovery of novel therapeutic molecules is always difficult, and there are a variety of methodologies that use the most diverse and innovative medicinal chemistry approaches. One such approach is the deuteration technique: Deuteration is the process of substituting deuterium for hydrogen in a molecule. When compared to the drug molecule, its deuterated analogues may retain the features of the original molecule and, in some cases, improve its pharmacological activity, with fewer side effects and lower toxicity. Metronidazole is a commonly used antibiotic to treat anaerobic bacterial infections, protozoal and microaerophilic bacterial infections. Met

STUDY THE OPTIMUM CONDITIONS FOR THE REMOVAL OF HEAVY METAL ELEMENTS FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS USING CONTAMINATED BACTERIA Bacillus subtilis LOCALLY ISOLATED: STUDY THE OPTIMUM CONDITIONS FOR THE REMOVAL OF HEAVY METAL ELEMENTS FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS USING CONTAMINATED BACTERIA Bacillus subtilis LOCALLY ISOLATED
...Show More Authors

We studied the effect of certain environmental conditions for removing heavy metal elements from contaminated aqueous solutions (Cd, Cu, Pb, Fe, Zn, Ni, Cr) using the bacterium Bacillus subtilis to appoint the optimal conditions for removal ,The best optimum temperature range for two isolate was 30-35○C while the hydrogen number for the maximum mineral removal range was 6-7. The best primary mineral removal was 100 mg/L, while the maximum removal for all minerals was obtained after 6 hrs of Cu element time and the maximum removal efficiency was obtained after 24 hrs of Cu element. The results have proved that the best aeration for maximum removal was obtained at rotation speed of 150 rpm/minute. Inoculums of 5ml/100ml which contained 1

Synthesis and Copolymerization of several N-substituted acrylamides
...Show More Authors

Five N-substituted acrylamides were prepared by reaction of substituted aromatic primary amines with acryloyl chloride in the presence of triethyl amine. The synthesized acrylamides were allowed to introduce copolymerization reaction with three vinylic monomers including acrylonitrile, methyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate respectively to obtain eleven new copolymers having different physical properties which may used in different applications.

Synthesis and Environmental Application of BiOI/BiOCl Composites
...Show More Authors

This work illustrates an enhanced visible light photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange dye (M.O.) by employing BiOI / BiOCl composites prepared under room temperature and without any organic precursors. Various experimental parameters have been studied, namely; composition of the composite, irradiation time and cell material. Composition D which implied 75% BiOI and 25% BiOCl has shown the highest bleaching of M.O. dye. This confirms the optimum photo-sensitization phenomenon for this composition in comparison to others. In the optimum photo-sensitized composite the electron of the conduction band reveals better reducing power and the hole of the valence band exhibits more oxidative power than those of pure BiOI electron and hole. The n-type Au thin films of 500nm thickness was evaporated by thermal evaporation method on p-type silicon wafer of [111] direction to formed Au/Si heterojunction solar cell. The AC conductivity, C-V and I-V characteristics of fabricated c-Au/Si diffusion heterojunction-(HJ) solar cell, has been studied. The first methods demonstrated that the AC conductivity due to with diffusiontunneling mechanism, while the second show that, the heterojunction profile is abrupt, the heterojunction parameters have been played out, such as the depletion width, built-in voltage, and concentration. And finally the third one show that the c-Au/Si HJ has rectification properties, and the solar cell yielded an open circuit voltage of (Vic) 0.4V, short circuit c
