Anovel Immunological Technique for Identification of Human Seminal Fluid
...Show More Authors

An immunological technique was investigated for the detection of human semen in forensic analysis. This technique included a preparation of anti-human seminal plasma antibodies, by immunizing rabbits with treated human semen. The human semen was treated with an acid to prevent cross reactivity with other human body fluids. The antibody produced was tested against different animal,s seminal fluid samples (dog, goat ,sheep, cow) and human body fluids( saliva, blood , vaginal fluid, ear wax and human semen). It was found that using this developed technique was only selectively responsed with human semen . The prepered kit was evaluated and tested in Forensic laboratory- Ministry of Health. Finally, results were obtained in a comparison with the recommended techniques.

Detection of Human Remain Using GPR Technique
...Show More Authors

In this work, animal bones with different shapes and sizes were used to study the characteristics of the ground penetrating Radar system wares reflected by these bones. These bones were buried underground in different depths and surrounding media. The resulting data showed that the detection of buried bones with the GPR technology is highly dependent upon the surrounding media that the bones were buried in. Humidity is the main source of signal loss in such application because humidity results in low signal-to-noise ratio which leads to inability to distinguish between the signal reflected by bones from that reflected by the dopes  in the media such as rock .

Molecular identification of Epstein-Barr virus in human placental tissue
...Show More Authors

Background: The Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) relates to the torch virus family and is believed to have a substantial impact on mortality and perinatal events, as shown by epidemiological and viral studies. Moreover, there have been documented cases of EBV transmission occurring via the placenta. Nevertheless, the specific location of the EBV infection inside the placenta remains uncertain. Methods: The genomic sequences connected to the latent EBV gene and the levels of lytic EBV gene expression in placental chorionic villous cells are examined in this work. A total of 86 placentas from patients who had miscarriage and 54 placentas from individuals who had successful births were obtained for analysis. Results: The research employed QPCR to dete

mmunohistochemical Identification And Quantification Of Brown Adipocytes In Human Adipose Tissue.
...Show More Authors

Background: Obesity is a worldwide challenge and is closely
connected to many metabolic diseases. Two types of
adipose tissue, white adipose tissue (WAT) and brown
adipose tissue (BAT) have been identified. White fat cells
store chemical energy, brown adipocytes defend against
hypothermia, obesity and diabetes.
Objective: To localize and quantify brown adipocytes in
human subcutaneous (S) and visceral (V) adipose tissue by
histology and immunohistochemistry.
Type of the study: A cross –sectional study.
Methods: Adipose tissue was obtained from histopathology
specimens taken from ten patients, of different age, sex and
body mass index (BMI), undergoing surgery for different
pathologies

Identification of Enterococcus faecalis Isolated from Infected Human Tooth Root Canals Human by Using Polymerase Chain Reaction
...Show More Authors

One hundred samples of root canal bacteria were isolated  from patients teeth with primary and secondary infected root canal from all the ages . Biochemical and microscopial tests were done for identification of these isolates. Twenty four isolates were confirmed as       E. faecalis species by using these tests. Genetic diagnosis for the all isolates was also done by using polymerase chain reaction ( PCR ). Thirty two isolates were confirmed to  belong to E. faecalis species by using this test.

Human Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells Isolation, Expansion and Identification
...Show More Authors

The present study aimed to isolate and diagnose mesenchymal stem cells derived from human bone that is the source generating cells that are the best types of treatment for tissue diseases.
Cells were isolated from the back bone of the human pelvis, separated using density gradual sedimentation method and then the cells were grown on the culture media RPMI-1640 \ 20% FBS.
To detect the purity of cells that have been isolated and have been transplanted immune use the method using CD44 (mesenchymal stem cells marker) CD43, a specific marker for hematopoietic cells Nestin, (the neurons private marker).
The present study has shown that mesenchymal cells that have been isolated and expanded in this experiment has reached up 99.7% for

Identification of Adenosine-3', 5'-Cyclic Monophosphate Purufied From Leukaemic Human Urine
...Show More Authors

Human urinary Adenosine-3',5'-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) was studied in 90 normal healthy volunteers (49 males and 41 females) aged between (11 months -55 years), and 86 leukemia patients (48 males and 38 females) of four types (25 ALL, 28 AML, 14 CLL, 19 CML) aged between (11 months - 65 years). The study includes the following:- Extraction and purification of urinary cAMP from the interfering nucleotides, proteins, phosphates and pyrophosphates, by using Zinc sulphate –Barium hydroxide precipitation. The extracted cAMP was purified by using Dowax 50W-H+ hydrogen form column chromatography (1x5 cm). Identification of the purified cAMP, this was achieved by applying the following techniques: a- U.V analysis: -

Identification of Vulnerable Zones for Groundwater Using a GIS-based DRASTIC Technique in Shwan Sub-basin/North-Iraq
...Show More Authors

Groundwater is considered as one of the most important sources of fresh-water, on which many regions around the world depend, especially in semi-arid and arid regions. Protecting and maintaining groundwater is a difficult process, but it is very important to maintain an important source of water. The current study aims to assess the susceptibility of groundwater to pollution using the DRASTIC model along with the GIS environments and its tool boxes. A vulnerability map was created by relying on data collected from 55 wells surveyed by the researchers as well as archived records from governmental institutions and some international organizations. The results indicate that the region falls into three vulnerability functional zones , namely

UPLC-ESI-MS/MS and Various Chromatographic Technique for Identification of Phytochemicals in Populus euphratica Oliv. Leaves Extract
...Show More Authors

The aim of this study is to screen the phytochemicals found in Populus euphratica leaves since this type of trees are used traditionally by many villagers as treatment for eczema and other skin disease and also this plant is poorly investigated for their phytochemicals especially in Iraq. Phytochemical screening of the extracts obtained from the n-hexane and chloroform fraction of leaves of Populus euphratica was done by Thin-layer chromatography and various spraying reagents to test if alkaloids, sterols and other compounds are present. UPLC-electrospray ionization –tandem mass spectroscopy along with GC-MS and HPTLC are used to identify the phytochemicals present in the plant leaves.UPLC-ESI-MS/MS method 20 compound

The Effect of Copper Nanoparticles on Seminal Vesicles and Testosterone Hormone in Male Albino Mice
...Show More Authors

The study conducted to demonstrate the effect of copper nanoparticles (Cu-NPs) on the seminal vesicle and testosterone hormone of males' albino mice. Twenty mice were used and divided into four groups control group and three groups that orally administrated with 100 mg/kg Cu-NPs for 7, 14 and 21 days and each group have 5 animals. Then, the blood was withdrawn from the animals to measure the level of the hormone testosterone in the next day after all the dosages period and then the animal was sacrificed. Seminal vesicles isolated from each animal and measured weight then histological sections were prepared to observe the changes of seminal vesicles sections. Then the morphometric was carried out to the lining cells and their nucleus and
