The present research was conducted to reduce the sulfur content of Iraqi heavy naphtha by adsorption using different metals oxides over Y-Zeolite. The Y-Zeolite was synthesized by a sol-gel technique. The average size of zeolite was 92.39 nm, surface area 558 m²/g, and pore volume 0.231 cm³/g. The metals of nickel, zinc, and copper were dispersed by an impregnation method to prepare Ni/HY, Zn/HY, Cu/HY, and Ni + Zn /HY catalysts for desulfurization. The adsorptive desulfurization was carried out in a batch mode at different operating conditions such as mixing time (10,15,30,60, and 600 min) and catalyst dosage (0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8,1, and 1.2 g).      In this work, the detection of zinc (Zn) ions that cause water pollution is studied using the CSNPs- Linker-alkaloids compound that was prepared by linking extracted alkaloids from Iraqi Catharanthus roseus plant with Chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPs) using maleic anhydride. This compound is characterized by an X-ray diffractometer (XRD) which shows that it has an orthorhombic structure with crystallite size in the nano dimension. A total of 258 voluntary blood donors (males 101; females 157) in the age range of 18-52 yr among males and 18-55 yr among females were examined for Toxoplasma gondii antibodies (IgG), and (IgM) by immunological technique (Enzyme linked Immunosorbant Assay) during the period from March 2009 to April 2010. This study included 50 blood serum samples that collected from children with age ranged between 7-12 years. Thirty five samples collected from children with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1D), and 15 blood serum samples collected from healthy children as a control sample. The polymorphism of IL-4 -590 (C>T) gene, which amplified by using amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS-PCR) was showed high percentage of C allele frequency in T1D patients sample in comparison with T allele frequency, and the C allele revealed as etiological faction with risk by having T1D disease, whereas the T allele showed high frequency from the C allele frequency in control sample, and the T allele revealed as preventive faction from infection by this disease.
