The pandemic SARS-CoV-2 is highly transmittable with its proliferation among nations. This study aims to design and exploring the efficacy of novel nirmatrelvir derivatives as SARS entry inhibitors by adapting a molecular modeling approach combined with theoretical design. The study focuses on the preparation of these derivatives and understanding their effectiveness, with a special focus on their binding affinity to the S protein, which is pivotal for the virus’s access to the host cell. Considering molecular docking aspects in the scope of a study on nirmatrelvir derivatives and S protein, dynamics simulations with 25 nanoseconds of their binding are explored. The study shows that these derivatives might work as effective antivi

In the solid state the molecules are arranged in infinite hydrogen-bonded 3D supramolecular structures, further stabilized by weak intermolecular π…π interactions. The DFT results for all the different spin states and isomers of dichloro(bis{2-[1-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl-κN3]pyridine-κN})metal(II) complexes, [M(L1)2Cl2], support experimental measurements, namely that (i) d5 [Mn(L1)2Cl2] is high spin with S = 5/2; (ii) d7 [Co(L1)2Cl2] has a spin state of S = 3/2, (iii) d8 [Ni(L1)2Cl2] has a spin state of S =

Then azo ligand was characterize using spectroscopic studies ( FTIR,UV-Vis, 1H and 13CNMR, Mass) also micro-elemental analysiz (C.H.N.O). Transition metal chelation with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) was investigated, revealing 1:2 metal-to-ligand stoichiometry with octahedral geometry. The biological, and industrial application for the azo ligand and it is complexes were evaluated, demonstrating antimicrobial activity against bacterial and fungal strains, with the Zn(II) complex exhibiting superior inhibition. Nowadays, the major goal is to maximize therapeutic benefit while minimizing side effects. Drug delivery technique is clearly shifting from the micro to nanoscale. Nano-drug delivery systems (NDDSs) are the most promising approach utilized to improve the accuracy of drug delivery and the efficacy of drugs. In this narrative review article, we evaluate how delivery challenges associated with commercial marketed products and discuss newer DDS is being carried out to overcome these challenges .Different colloidal carrier systems such as carbon nanotube ,li

Show MoreCultivation of the green seaweed Enteromorpha compressa was performed under natural laboratory spring environmental conditions of temperature, light intensity and photoperiod to study the salinity tolerance of this intertidal green macroalga. Cultivation was carried out under artificial seawater (ASW) of different concentrations (18, 35, 53 and 106 g/l sea salt) compared to the control using natural seawater (NSW). Growth rate and pigment content of the cultivated alga were recorded at regular intervals during the experimental duration. Antioxidant activity of the crude ethanolic extract and its fractions (petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and acetone) was performed against DPPH radical scavenging assay and compared to

Since the copper-to-zinc ratio (Cu/Zn) indicates an inflammatory response, the change in ratio is expected to correlate with axSpA. This study compared levels of Cu/Zn in the serum of axSpA patients. Serum samples were obtained from 53 patients with axSpA divided according to biological treatment into cohorts A and B, and 28 healthy control as cohort C. Serum levels of Cu and Zn were determined first by a fully automated chemistry analyzer TC-Matrix Plus, then the ratio was obtained. The elevated serum Cu concentration means of cohort B (189.32 ± 13.808 µg/dL) compared to cohort A (168.85 ± 7.244 µg/dL) a

In this study, we aimed to investigate the potential wound-healing activity of the methanol extract derived from Allium ampeloprasum. Using 30 healthy male Wester rats; control group: 15 rats; normal saline applied locally instead of plant-extract. Experimental group: 15 rats received a daily local application of 200 mg/kg of the plant extract. Then, for each healing period of 0, 5, or 10 days, each group was divided into three-subgroups: A, B, and C, each with five rats. There was a significant difference in the percentage of wound contraction between the control and experimental groups (p 0.02)
