Snowfall is one of the most important natural phenomena that can be seen in the
winter which is considered as a rare phenomenon in the Middle East. Snow is
covering parts of mountains in northern Iraq and neighboring countries in the first
months of the year. In this research, the snow cover can be detected and monitored
using pseudo color method, and the Normalized Difference Snow INDECES
(NDSI). Snow cover is difficult to detect in true color satellite images because the
white color of snow cover is the same color with the cloud cover. Modis sensors that
carried by Terra and Equa satellites images have been used in different bands and
different resolution and the case studied in 4/2/2017, 5/2/2017.

This research aims to design a high-speed laser diode driver and photodetector, the result is the

This paper aims to study the asymptotic stability of the equilibrium points of the index 2 and index 3 Hesenberg differential algebraic equations. The problem reformulated to an equivalent explicit differential algebraic equations system, so the asymptotic stability is easily investigated. The holmium plasma induced by a 1064-nmQ-switched Nd:YAG laser in air was investigated. This work was done theoretically and experimentally.  Cowan code was used to get the emission spectra for different transition of the holmium target. In the experimental work, the evolution of the plasma was studied by acquiring spectral images at different laser pulse energies (600,650,700, 750, and 800 mJ). In this paper waste natural material (date seed) and polymer particles(UF) were used for investigation of  removal dye of the potassium permanganate. Also study effect some variables such as pH, dye concentration and adsorbent concentration on dye removal. 15 experimental runs were done using  the itemized conditions designed established on the Box-Wilson design employed to optimize dye removal. The optimum conditions for the dye removal were found: (pH) 12, (dye con.) 2.38 ppm, (adsorbant con.) 0.0816 gm for date seed with 95.22% removal and for UF (pH) 12, (dye con.) 18 ppm, (adsorbant con.) 0.2235 gm with 91.43%. The value of R-square was 85.47%  for Date seed  and (88.77%) for UF.

The distribution of the intensity of the comet Ison C/2013 is studied by taking its histogram. This distribution reveals four distinct regions that related to the background, tail, coma and nucleus. One dimensional temperature distribution fitting is achieved by using two mathematical equations that related to the coordinate of the center of the comet. The quiver plot of the gradient of the comet shows very clearly that arrows headed towards the maximum intensity of the comet.

This study was designed to investing the drug prescribing pattern which is the important point in the rational or irrational use of drugs among patients dispensing their prescriptions from the private pharmacies in Maysan governorate, Iraq for a period of 1 month. The data collected from prescriptions were calculated and analyzed according to the WHO prescribing guidelines. The data showed that the mean of drugs included in single prescription was 3.4, and 12% of prescribed drugs were written as generic names; moreover, the percentage of antibiotics, corticosteroids and anxiolytics were 33.3%, 11.4% and 23.8% respectively. Those results indicate the irrational use of drugs when compared with the world health organization standard values

The current study included testing the ability of plant Hydrilla verticillata (L. F.) on the accumulation of two heavy metals in its tissues, and use the plant in phytoremediation. The plant was exposure to different concentrations of chromium and copper metals (2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20) ppm, for a period of fourteen days, for each solution.The results showed that Hydrilla was more efficient in the removal of chromium, where the amount of the remaining concentration of chromium at the last day of the experiment was (0.20 ± 0.014- 0.66 ± 0.114- 0.99 ± 0.176- 0.79 ± 0.073- 1.80 ± 0.131) ppm, while for copper was (0.33 ± 0.06- 1.13 ± 0.39- 1.66 ± 0.05- 1.96 ± 0.043- 2.33 ± 0.0497) ppm at the last day of the experiment, respectively.
