This study was conducted to determine the role of Phoenix dactylifera pollen grains suspension in improving reproductive efficiency of white male rats. In thisexperiment 40 adult male rats were divided randomly into five equal groups and by following oral administration:the first group was given Phoenix d. pollen grains suspension with concentration 18 mg/kg body weight daily, the second group was given 54 mg/kg, the third group was given 108 mg/kg and fourth group 216 mg/kg body weight, and the last group which represented a control group administrated distilled water only, the administration continued for 40 consecutive days. A new series of transition metal complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Fe(III) have been synthesized from the Schiff base (L1) and (L2) derived from Semicarbazide hydro chloride and 4-chlorobenzaldehyde or 4-bromobenzaldehyde. The effect of annealing on the structural and optical properties of Antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) is investigated. Sb2S3 powder is vaporized on clean glass substrates at room temperature under high vacuum pressure to form thin films. The structural research was done with the aid of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Background: Diabetes and periodontitis are considered as chronic diseases with a bidirectional relationship between them. This study aimed to determine and compare the severity of periodontal health status and salivary parameters in diabetic and non-diabetic patients with chronic periodontitis. Materials and Methods: Seventy participants were enrolled in this study. The subjects were divided into three groups: Group I: 25 patients had type 2 diabetes mellitus with chronic periodontitis, Group 2: 25 patients had chronic periodontitis and with no history of any systemic diseases, Group 3: 20 subjects had healthy periodontium and were systemically healthy.
