A number of glow discharge experiments has been carried out in a relatively large-volume metallic vacuum chamber containing argon at low pressure and immersed in an inhomogeneous magnetic field generated by a solenoidal coil capable of delivering 2100G. Two Paschen curves demonstrating the dependence of the discharge voltage on sparking parameter Pd and magnetic field strength B were deduced. A graphical correlation showing the behaviour of the voltage difference from the two curves on the ratio B/Pd was constructed. Investigations showed a reduction in the nominal impedance of the discharge device of nearly 20% when B reaches a value of 525G.   The Falluja residents had resorted to the underground water as an alternative to the surface waters of the Euphrates river passing near the city, through digging wells inside gardens of Mosques in the city during spring 2005. The present study aims to indicate the quality of these waters and demonstrates the extent of their suitability for drinking . Spectrophotometric  methods  were  developed   for    the determination of rantidine-HCl in pharmaceutical tablets. These methods were based on the reaction of DDQ and p-chloranil with rantidine-HCl, resulting in the formation of an orange-red and purple colored products which are quantified spectrophotometrically at 460 and 540nm in DDQ and p-chloranil, respectively. A graph of absorbance versus concentration show that Beer’s law is obeyed in a concentration ranges of 20-160 and (30-120)g/ml with molar absorptivities of 2.631 x 103 and 1.052 x 103l .mol-1-cm-1 for DDQ and  p-chloranil, respectively.
