Comparative Analysis of the Fatty Acid Pattern of Silybum marianum with Nigella sativa by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry
...Show More Authors

Many studied were conducted to evaluate the antihepatotoxic and antioxidant activities of Silybum marianum and proved these actions. The Naturally grown seed in Iraqi-Kurdistan Region also were studied for its chemical contents and biological activities. Vegetable oils occur in various plant parts mainly concentrated in the seeds.

In this study comparison was made between the fatty acid patterns of two plant seeds, Silybum marianum and Nigella sativa. Seed sample of Silybum marianum and Nigella sativa were exposed for extraction and isolation of the fatty acid contents using two different solvents (petroleum ether and n-hexane) at 60-80oC using soxhlet apparatus and the oily extract were purified and analysed by GC-MS triplet system.

Result showed that extraction with petroleum ether yielded 23% and 24% of total weight of the seeds of Silybum marianum and Nigella sativa respectively and comparable results with n-hexane extract yielded 17% and 22% of total seed weight of Silybum marianum and Nigella sativa respectively showing significant differences in the fatty acids patterns of both plants under research.

Key words: Fatty acids, GC-MS, Silybum marianum, natural products, cardiovascular diseases.

A comparative study of Gaussian mixture algorithm and K-means algorithm for efficient energy clustering in MWSN
...Show More Authors

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) represent one of the key technologies in internet of things (IoTs) networks. Since WSNs have finite energy sources, there is ongoing research work to develop new strategies for minimizing power consumption or enhancing traditional techniques. In this paper, a novel Gaussian mixture models (GMMs) algorithm is proposed for mobile wireless sensor networks (MWSNs) for energy saving. Performance evaluation of the clustering process with the GMM algorithm shows a remarkable energy saving in the network of up to 92%. In addition, a comparison with another clustering strategy that uses the K-means algorithm has been made, and the developed method has outperformed K-means with superior performance, saving ener

The Effect of the Corona Pandemic (covid-19) on the Quality of the Auditor’s Reporting by Application to Iraqi Economic Units
...Show More Authors

Abstract:

The research aims to shed light on the Corona pandemic and its repercussions on the global economy in general, and on the activities of Iraqi economic units in particular. It also aims to show the impact of the auditor’s reporting on the effects of the Corona pandemic on economic units and its reflection on the quality of his reporting. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a questionnaire according to the five-point Likert scale and took into account in its preparation compatibility with the characteristics of the study community, and that the target community for this questionnaire are the economic units listed in the Iraq Stock Exchange that have complet

Employment and Labor Union Laws in Japan between the 1889 and 1946 Constitutions: A Comparative Study: أفراح محمد علي
...Show More Authors

This research is based on the descriptive and analytical methodology. The importance of studying labor laws and labor unions in Japan between 1889 and 1946 constitutions is because Japan was out of a feudal phase, and had no idea about the factory system and industrialization in their modern sense before the Meiji era. Generally, its labor system used to be mostly familial, and the economic system was based on agriculture. This called for the enactment of legislations and laws appropriate for the coming phase in Meiji era. Thus, this paper examines the role of Meiji government in enacting labor legislations and laws when he came to power in 1896, and his new constitution in 1889 and the civil code of 1896. It further examines the way Mei

The Writer Authentication by Using Syllables Frequency
...Show More Authors

An approach is depended in the recent years to distinguish any author or writer from other by analyzing his writings or essays. This is done by analyzing the syllables of writings of an author. The syllable is composed of two letters; therefore the words of the writing are fragmented to syllables and extract the most frequency syllables to become trait of that author. The research work depend on analyzed the frequency syllables in two cases, the first, when there is a space between the words, the second, when these spaces are ignored. The results is obtained from a program which scan the syllables in the text file, the performance is best in the first case since the sequence of the selected syllables is higher than the same syllables in

Communication represents the essence of language learning. Since the unspecified evolution of conveying information, human beings have been employing the main constituents of language with short pauses. Although the punctuation marks necessitate short expressions among thought group of words in writing, human language demand for understanding how and when to pause orally. This paper presents the pause technique in the classroom. It signifies the relation between pausing and lecturing in the class and determines its sufficient time-management to interact with college learners of different specializations. The conduct study reviewed teaching pause technique in the empirical studies at Special Education and Communication Disorders of Pennsylva

 Constructive critical reading by the Arab poet
...Show More Authors

Our critical history is marked by the presence of eminent poets who have tried to read, as for their texts, such as Al-Mutanabbi, Ibn Abd Rabu and Ibn Arabi. As for the texts of others, such as Al-Farazdaq, Jarir, and Omar bin Abi Rabi'a, and what is distinctive in their readings was that they were texts corresponding to the reading text, then the reading of Jarir Naqdah and Omar bin Abi Rabi`a was an opposition and Ibn Abd Rabu was scrutinized and Ibn Arabi was an interpretation and al-Mutanabi an explanation, and I found that these in their readings constitute a specificity that must be revealed The way of this research (constructive critical reading by the Arab poet - a critical study -) their poor are critical because criticism is pr

MICROFACIES ANALYSIS AND BASIN DEVELOPMENT OF THE CENOMANIAN - EARLY TURONIAN SEQUENCE IN THE RAFAI, NOOR AND HALFAYA OIL FIELDS, SOUTHEASTERN IRAQ
...Show More Authors

The stratigraphic sequence of Cenomanian-Early Turonian is composed of Ahmadi, Rumaila, and Mishrif formations in the Rifai, Noor and Halfaya Oil Fields within the Mesopotamian Zone of Iraq, which is bounded at top and bottom by unconformity surfaces. The microfacies analysis of the study wells assisted the recognition of five main environments (open marine, basinal, shallow open marine, Rudist biostrome, and lagoon); these microfacies were indicative of a normal lateral change facies from shallow water facies to deeper water and open marine sediments.

Ahmadi Formation (Early Cenomanian) is characterized by open marine sediments during the transgressive conditions, and would be
