This study has aimed to investigate the effect of feed forms, mash and pellet on productive performance and carcass yields of broilers. 225 unsexed birds of the hybrid Ross 308 broiler were used, with a starting weight of 45.4 g one day old. The experiment lasted up to 35 days. The birds were randomly distributed into five treatments; each treatment contained 45 chicks according to three replicates (15 birds/ replicate). The experiment’s treatments included: (T1) Control mash 100% (pellet 0%), (T2) mash 75% (pellet 25%), (T3) mash 50% (pellet 50%), (T4) mash 25% (pellet 75%) and (T5) mash 0% (pellet 100%). The influence of adding metal foam fins on the heat transfer characteristics of an air to water double pipe heat exchanger is numerically investigated. The hot fluid is water which flows in the inner cylinder whereas the cold fluid is air which circulates in the annular gap in parallel flow with water. Ten fins of metal foam (Porosity = 0.93), are added in the gap between the two cylinder, and distributed periodically with the axial distance. Finite volume method is used to solve the governing equations in porous and non-porous regions. Bisoprolol is one of the widely used drugs for the treatment of hypertension. Bisoprolol tablets were prepared by two methods (direct and wet) using different proportion and types of diluents, different binder types and forms, then evaluated for, weight variation, hardness, friability, disintegration time and dissolution rate. The results were compared with a reference Bisoprolol tablet.

A method is developed for the determination of iron (III) in pharmaceutical preparations by coupling cloud point extraction (CPE) and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The method is based on the reaction of Fe(III) with excess drug ciprofloxacin (CIPRO) in dilute H2SO4, forming a hydrophobic Fe(III)- CIPRO complex which can be extracted into a non-ionic surfactant Triton X-114, and iron ions are determined spectrophotometrically at absorption maximum of 437 nm.
