The two parameters of Exponential-Rayleigh distribution were estimated using the maximum likelihood estimation method (MLE) for progressively censoring data.             Spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of copper(II) ion. Limit of detection(LOD) and Limit of quantification were 1.924 and 6.42 μg/mL, respectively.
