Background: Osteoporosis affects almost all of the bones in the female body; the most important one in the facial bone is mandible. Menopause is defined as an absence of the menses for one year. During this time, estrongen, progesterone and ovarian androgens production are diminished due to adult onset ovarian failure which leads to osteoporosis. This study aimed to evaluate the use of computed tomography mandibular morphometric indices for the assessment of pre and postmenopausal osteoporotic women. The results showed that the adsorption isotherms obeyed Freundlich adsorption equation. Compton profile, the Compton energy absorption cross sections are
measured and calculated using formulas based on a relativistic
impulse approximation. The Compton energy-absorption cross
sections are evaluated for different elements (Fe, Zn, Ag, Au and Hg)
and for a photon energy range (1 - 100 keV). With using these crosssections,
the Compton component of the mass–energy absorption
