Change detection is a technology ascertaining the changes of
specific features within a certain time Interval. The use of remotely
sensed image to detect changes in land use and land cover is widely
preferred over other conventional survey techniques because this
method is very efficient for assessing the change or degrading trends
of a region. In this research two remotely sensed image of Baghdad
city gathered by landsat -7and landsat -8 ETM+ for two time period
2000 and 2014 have been used to detect the most important changes.
Registration and rectification the two original images are the first
preprocessing steps was applied in this paper. Change detection using
NDVI subtractive has been computed, subtrac
The study aims to demonstrate the importance of instructional methods in teaching Arabic language as a second language or teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers. The study is in line with the tremendous development in the field of knowledge, especially in the field of technology and communication, and the emergence of many electronic media in education in general and language teaching in particular. It employs an image in teaching vocabulary and presenting the experience of the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Speakers-King Abdul-Aziz University. The study follows the descriptive approach to solve the problem represented by the lack of interest in the educational methods when teaching Arabic as a second language. Accordingl
... Show MoreFor more than seven decades, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has not ended, and every one claims his right to the land, waters, airspace and wealth of Palestine. This conflict was reflected in the political, military, social and cultural aspects, and the cinema had a prominent role in conveying messages to the world about this conflict. On the geopolitical dimensions and their impact on the cinematic image in the films of the Palestinian cause), the researchers divided the research into four frameworks that came as follows: (methodological framework) and included the research problem, its importance, research objectives, research limits and sealing the chapter by defining the terms. And (theoretical framework): it was divided into two s
... Show MoreNowadays, internet security is a critical concern; the One of the most difficult study issues in network security is "intrusion detection". Fight against external threats. Intrusion detection is a novel method of securing computers and data networks that are already in use. To boost the efficacy of intrusion detection systems, machine learning and deep learning are widely deployed. While work on intrusion detection systems is already underway, based on data mining and machine learning is effective, it requires to detect intrusions by training static batch classifiers regardless considering the time-varying features of a regular data stream. Real-world problems, on the other hand, rarely fit into models that have such constraints. Furthermor

OBJECTIVE: The present paper aims to evaluate various aspects of preventive measures and clinical management of the scheduled visits for orthodontic patients to the dental clinics during the outbreak of COVID-19, and to assess how orthodontists dealt with this challenge. METHODS: Orthodontists in private and public clinics were invited to fill a questionnaire that addressed infection control protocols and concerns about clinical management of patients in the clinics during the pandemic. Frequncies and percentages of the responses were obtained and compared using Chi-square tests. RESULTS: About 77% of those working in private clinics, a

Show MoreIn this work, satellite images classification for Al Chabaish marshes and the area surrounding district in (Dhi Qar) province for years 1990,2000 and 2015 using two software programming (MATLAB 7.11 and ERDAS imagine 2014) is presented. Proposed supervised classification method (Modified Vector Quantization) using MATLAB software and supervised classification method (Maximum likelihood Classifier) using ERDAS imagine have been used, in order to get most accurate results and compare these methods. The changes that taken place in year 2000 comparing with 1990 and in year 2015 comparing with 2000 are calculated. The results from classification indicated that water and vegetation are decreased, while barren land, alluvial soil and shallow water

Show MoreGeneral Background: Deep image matting is a fundamental task in computer vision, enabling precise foreground extraction from complex backgrounds, with applications in augmented reality, computer graphics, and video processing. Specific Background: Despite advancements in deep learning-based methods, preserving fine details such as hair and transparency remains a challenge. Knowledge Gap: Existing approaches struggle with accuracy and efficiency, necessitating novel techniques to enhance matting precision. Aims: This study integrates deep learning with fusion techniques to improve alpha matte estimation, proposing a lightweight U-Net model incorporating color-space fusion and preprocessing. Results: Experiments using the AdobeComposition-1k
... Show MoreIn this paper, an efficient image segmentation scheme is proposed of boundary based & geometric region features as an alternative way of utilizing statistical base only. The test results vary according to partitioning control parameters values and image details or characteristics, with preserving the segmented image edges.
