INFLUENCE OF WHEY FOLIAR SPRAYING AND GROWING POINT PINCHING ON GROWTH AND YIELD PARAMETERES OF OKRA

An experiment was carried out in the fields that belong to agiriculture college /Baghdad university (AL-Jadyria) according to randomized compeleted blocks design(R.C.B.D.) with three replications during the spring season of 2015 to Study impact of growing point pinching and foliar spraying of whey on some traits of vegetative growth and yield of okra(Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench) AL-Batra local cultivar. The experiment was included six treatments which was pinching or no pinching of growthing point and foliar spraying of whey with three concentration (0%,50%and75%).The results showed that pinching was siginificant in all traits of vegetative growth except plant High where the highest values of branches number , diameter of stem and leafe

Effect of growth media components and growth condition on indole – 3 – acetic acid (IAA) production by Pseudomonas putida isolated from soil

Pseudomonas putidaPST-1 isolate isolated from soil of plant root was used for high production of indole acetic acid. Indole acetic acid (IAA) production is a major property of rhizosphere bacteria that stimulate and facilitate plant growth. Optimization of indole acetic acid production was carried out at different cultural conditions of pH temperature, incubation period, and the amount of inoculum of bacteria. The best chemical medium for high IAA production (82 Mg/ml) was Luria-Bertani broth medium consisted of 1.2gm tryptophan and 10gm peptone in their components, while the cheese whey medium was the best natural medium for IAA production was (66 Mg/ml). IAA production byPseudomonas putida PST-1 was optimized by studying some factors t

Growth and Yield For Sesame Cultivars Related to Boron

A field experiment was conducted through 2010-2011 in the experimental field return to AlKut forest project near the Tigris river\ General Directorate of Horticultural and Forestry at Wasit governorate. The purpose of this research is to know the response of four cultivars of Sesame to Foliar nutrition with Boron. R.C.B.P. were used with split plot in four Replications including main plot cultivars, Ishtar, Babel, Al-Rafidain, local. While sub-plot included four concentrations of boron (0,50,100, 150) mgb/L-1.   The result showed that Al-Rafidain was superior in the average of plant height and % of oil over all cultivars, while the local cultivars gave higher average of number of branches for plant and the highest first

EFFECT OF UREA AND NPK FERTILIZER ON SOME PHYSIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WATERCRESS PLANT

The experiment was conducted in the botanical garden of the Department of Life Sciences/ College of Education for Pure Sciences Ibn Al-Haitham for the growing season 2021- 2020 in order to study the effect of urea and NPK fertilizer on some physiological characteristics of watercress plants. The seeds were sown on 10/15/2020 in plastic bags weighing 10 kg of soil. The shoots were sprayed with urea at three concentrations (0, 50, 100) mg L-1 in two sprays, and NPK fertilizer was added as a ground addition at three levels (0, 100, 200) kg H-1 in two sprays in conjunction with urea spraying. The results of the study showed a significant effect for the single treatments. The treatment of spraying with urea at a concentration of 50 mg l-1 . was

Improving Nitrogen and Phosphorus Efficiency for Optimal Plant Growth and Yield

Nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) are the most important nutrients for crop production. The N contributes to the structural component, generic, and metabolic compounds in a plant cell. N is mainly an essential part of chlorophyll, the compound in the plants that is responsible for photosynthesis process. The plant can get its available nitrogen from the soil by mineralizing organic materials, fixed-N by bacteria, and nitrogen can be released from plant as residue decay. Soil minerals do not release an enough amount of nitrogen to support plant; therefore, fertilizing is necessary for high production. Phosphorous contributes in the complex of the nucleic acid structure of plants. The nucleic acid is essential in protein synthesis regulation; t

The role of irrigation management processes and micronutrient fertilization on parameter of growth and yield of two wheat varieties

The experiment was conducted in Al- Mahaweel Research Station in Babel Governorate, Ministry of Agriculture during autumn season 2016-2017 to determine the role of irrigation management processes and micronutrient fertilization in growth and productivity of two varieties of wheat IPA 99 and Al-Rasheed 22 in clay loam soil classified as Typic Torriflovent. The experiment included four irrigation treatments and six fertilization treatments. The experiment was designed under randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. Wheat grain IPA 99 and Al-Rasheed 22 varieties were planted in 23/11/2016 and harvested in 13/5/2017. The amount and periods of irrigation depended on sensors reading of volumetric water content was measured

Responding Wheat and Weeds for Seeding Rates and Herbicide as Well Its Effect on Yield and Yield Components
Abstract<p>A field experiment was carried out during the seasons 2016 and 2017 in the farm of the Department of Field Crops Science, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences-University of Baghdad to evaluate the effect of(Aminopyralid + Flurasulam, Coldinafop-propargyl and Flucarbazone-sodium) herbicides and seeding rate (100, 125 and 150) Kg.ha-1 and the interaction between them in growth characteristics, grain and yield components in wheat (Var. IPA99). The results showed that herbicides used were significantly efficient in studied characteristics compared to weedy treatment. Herbicide Flucarbazone-sodium gave higher weed control after 60 and 90 days of spraying the he</p> ... Show More
