Elegy is one of the foundations of the Arab poetic heritage, and it is one of the main sections of poetry. Man has found in him his desire to express his innermost self at an hour filled with pain, and an outlet from which his anguish and grief come out in an expressive form that liberates tears and reproaches death.
Lamentation is an evolving purpose that grows with the growth of society and life and records the change that takes place in every stage of history. It is an important result of the poet's collision with life and events.
That is why I chose the lamentation poetry of Hafiz Ibrahim, due to the importance of this art to him, and it is the art in which he excelled the poets of his time.

Drug misuse is defined as using of drugs for a non-therapeutic or non-medical purpose. In Iraq drug misuse is a major problem because almost any drug can be easily obtained from pharmacies. Appetite- stimulant drugs are example of drugs that are widely used without a prescription. The study included 230 patients who use these drugs in Babylon. A questionnaire included the following questions ; age, sex, marital state, the reason for use the drug , whether the drug is prescribed by physician or not , type of drug used , the frequency of daily dose and lastly the extent of side effects of the drugs used. Waiting for Godot is one of Beckett’s early plays, and it has been heavily analyzed and read as a comic text partly because its subtitle is “a tragicomedy in two acts” and also because of the comic techniques used in the play. The present paper, however, attempts to read the play as a piece in which comedy fails to produce any effects on the characters who remain apparently very desperate and frustrated throughout the play.
