The influence of Toxoplasma gondii on some biochemical parameters has lately gained an increasing attention. The aim of this study was to assess the levels of some biochemical parameters in Toxoplasma positive and negative subjects. An analytical case–control study was achieved in Baghdad for the period from October 2018 until March 2019. Forty nine females participated in this study, with an age range of 18-55 years. The participants were separated into two groups, namely Toxoplasma positive subjects (n=21) and Toxoplasma negative subjects (n=28), based on enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Blood and serum samples were collected from all subjects to evaluate the serum levels of cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL), very low density lipoprotein (VLDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), total protein, total globulin and total albumin. The results showed non-significant differences between Toxoplasma positive and negative subjects for all the parameters, although cholesterol levels were lower (mean 149 mg/dL; range 131.9-165.9 mg/dL) in Toxoplasma positive patients as compared to those in Toxoplasma negative subjects (161 mg/dL; 146.7-175 mg/dL). In addition, triglycerides levels were lower (160 mg/dL; 123.3-196.8 mg/dL) in Toxoplasma positive subjects as compared to the control subjects (165mg/dL; 134.2-195.3 mg/dL). The only significant difference was noticed among subjects with an age range of 26-35 years, where globulin level was significantly higher (p=0.023) in Toxoplasma negative subjects as compared to that in Toxoplasma positive subjects.
This study has been carried out in the Station of Poultry Researches which is affiliated to the General Office of Agricultural Researches / Ministry of Agriculture during the period from 25/02/2019 to 08/04/2019 (42)days .Five hundred unsexed one day old chick of type (Ross 308) used in this study, and has been fed on diets which oleuropeinin has been added to it with the levels 2,2.5,3 and3.5 g/kg as a feed for the treatments T2 , T3 , T4 and T5 respectively and compared to the control treatment T1 which is devoid of addition, every treatment included Four replicates each one has 25 birds in order to study the effect of adding a various levels of oleuropein into the diet on the production and physiological performance for broilers. The problem of the research is represented the increased and constant rise in the volume of the environmental pollutants resulted from the processes managed by the intern

Materials & methods: Seventy five Iraqi adult subjects, 50 class II div.1 malocclusion (24 males and 26 females), 25 class III malocclusion (14 males and 11 females), with an age range from 18-25 years. Each individual was subjected to clinical examination and digital standardized right side photographic records were taken in the natural head position. The photographs were analyzed using AutoCAD program 2007 to measure the distances and angles used in t

Objective:This study was conducted to assess the outcome of surgery in patients with tuberculosis of the spine with motor deficits.
Type of the study: Retrospective study.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed data obtained in all the patients with severe motor deficits due to spinal TB admitted to and surgically treated in four hospitals in Baghdad/Iraq during the period from January 2012 to January 2014. History, examination, imaging, histological, postoperative, a

The two parameters (α, λ), (Scale parameters and Shape parameters) are estimated by LSE, WLSE and the Best Estimator’s for various samples sizes are used to find the ratio of true mean time to a pre-determined, and are used to find the smallest possible sample size required to ensure the producer’s risks, with a pre-fixed probability (1 - P*). The result of estimations and of sampling plans is provided in tables.

This study was conducted to determine the effect of various levels of hump fat (HF) used in manufacturing of camel, beef and chicken sausage to understand the effect of (HF) on physicochemical composition sausage, Different levels of hump fat (5, 7, and 10 %) were used, physicochemical compositions like (moisture, protein, fat, Ash, water holding capacity, shrinkage, cooking loss and pH) were determined. Results of the study revealed that moisture content showed high significant differences (P≤0.01)among treatments groups, Camel sausage and beef sausage tended to have highest values while chicken sausage reported the lowest value. The study showed no significant difference (P≤0.05) among the

The current investigation attempts to determine the variation in the complete total blood cells on the recovery of individuals with Graves' ophthalmopathy following low and high-dose Radioactive Iodine 131 (RI-131) exposures. Materials and Methods: The complete blood CBC level in people with Graves' illness and healthy, normal controls were quantitatively identified using the CBC counter. Thyroid stimulating hormone was utilized to compare the recovery of ophthalmopathy patients in comparison to a control group. Patient aggression is a global health care problem. This study examined the impact of patient aggression on the quality of care that patients receive as perceived by their family members and the ethical challenges involved from the nurse’s perspective. A descriptive–analytical method was used. The participants of this study were nurses working on psychiatric units and family members of patients in Iraq. Two questionnaires were used: one on nursing care quality and one on ethical challenges in clinical situations. The results showed that the quality of care for these patients was reduced, with a
