Türk atasözleri Orhun Abideleri‟nde ilk kez karĢımıza çıkmakla birlikte, Uygur dönemi yazıtlarında ve özellikle Dîvânü Lûgati‟t Türk‟te geniĢ yer bulmuĢtur.
