A new chelate polymer (2-5-hydroxy-3-methyl-2- (3-nonyl benzene) imino) methyl) benzyl) 4-6-dimethyphenol] (K4) was prepared by using the condensation reaction method and identified by several techniques, including FT-IR, NMR, and atomic absorption spectroscopy, as well as TG-DTA thermal analysis. The kinetic equilibrium for the sorption of lead and cadmium ions on the chelate polymer surface was also investigated. The results showed that the sorption of both ions followed the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic equilibrium. The rate constant values of pseudo-first-order reaction  were equal to 0.062 and 0.057 min^-1  , while the values of pseudo-second-order were 0.0103 and 0.053 L.m

      This study included the isolation and identification of Citrobacter freundii from 220 samples collected from inpatients and outpatients suffering from urinary tract infection (UTI) and identified at the laboratory of the General Samarra Hospital in Samarra City, Iraq. The study was conducted to investigate some of the virulence factors produced by C. freundii. The results showed that 67 isolates were  belonging to the C. freundii, with a rate of  30.45%. Three isolated bacteria were examined to remove heavy metals from the industrial wastewater of the Diala State Company of Electrical Industries, Diyala-Iraq. The isolated bacteria were identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB). The three isolates were used as an adsorption factor for different concentrations of Lead and Copper (100, 150, and 200 ppm.), in order to examine the adsorption efficiency of these isolates.
