Zubair Formation is one of the richest petroleum systems in Southern Iraq. War as a human phenomenon, has its own literature. Poetry is a major genre in this literature. This paper is an attempt to investigate and analyse some stylistic features in two selected, English and Arabic, war poems. These poems share the same theme.Both promote the principle of sacrificing one’s own life for the sake of homeland.  This paper limits itself to analyse, thecontent words, tenses, semantic grouping of vocabulary and foregrounding in the two poems. The areas of analysis show great similarities in distributing the general content words (nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs). In the analysis of the semantic areas of each content word, these poems reveal some similarities and some differences in their frequency rates.

The bony pelvis has a major role in weight transmission to the lower limbs. The complexities of its geometric form, material properties, and loading conditions render it an open subject to biomechanical analysis.

 The present study deals with area measurement, and three-dimensional finite element analysis of the hip bone to investigate magnitudes, load direction, and stress distribution under physiological loading conditions.

 The surface areas of the auricular surface, lunate surface, and symphysis pubis were measured in (35) adult hip bones. A solid model was translated into ANSYS parametric design language to be analyzed by finite element analysis method under different loading conditions.

A seismicity study of khanaqin city and surrounding area is carried out. More than 270
quakes between 22 Nov. to 30 Dec. 2013 are recorded by Iraqi Seismic Network (ISN).
Analyses of these events show earthquakes magnitude range between (1.2 – 5.6) degree,
focal depth between (4 – 27) km. Seismotectonic map for studied area is drawn .
Isointensity maps for the felt earthquakes are drawn and show the intensity range
between (I-VII) according to the modified Mercalli scale. Fault plane solutions for four
events in the study area indicate a reverse strike slip solution along planes with NW –SE
