Model Reference Adaptive Control based on a Self-Recurrent Wavelet Neural Network Utilizing Micro Artificial Immune Systems
...Show More Authors

Abstract

This paper presents an intelligent model reference adaptive control (MRAC) utilizing a self-recurrent wavelet neural network (SRWNN) to control nonlinear systems. The proposed SRWNN is an improved version of a previously reported wavelet neural network (WNN). In particular, this improvement was achieved by adopting two modifications to the original WNN structure. These modifications include, firstly, the utilization of a specific initialization phase to improve the convergence to the optimal weight values, and secondly, the inclusion of self-feedback weights to the wavelons of the wavelet layer. Furthermore, an on-line training procedure was proposed to enhance the control performance of the SRWNN-based MRAC. As the training method, the recently developed modified micro artificial immune system (MMAIS) was used to optimize the parameters of the SRWNN. The effectiveness of this control approach was demonstrated by controlling several nonlinear dynamical systems. For each of these systems, several evaluation tests were conducted, including control performance tests, robustness tests, and generalization tests. From these tests, the SRWNN-based MRAC has exhibited its effectiveness regarding accurate control, disturbance rejection, and generalization ability. In addition, a comparative study was made with other related controllers, namely the original WNN, the artificial neural network (ANN), and the modified recurrent network (MRN). The results of these comparison tests indicated the superiority of the SRWNN controller over the other related controllers.

Keywords: Artificial neural network, micro artificial immune system, model reference adaptive control, self-recurrent wavelet neural network , Wavelet neural network.

To determine the relationship between celiac disease and reproductive disorder, twenty two women with recurrent spontaneous abortion (18-35) years have been investigated from the period 2017/11/1 – 2018/2/1 and compared wih twenty two parentally healthy women. All studied groups were carried out to measure antitissue transglutaminase IgA and IgG antibodies by Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique, There were a highly significant differences (P < 0.01) in the concentration of anti TtG IgA and IgG Ab compared to control group, while there was non-significant differences (P > 0.05) in the concentration of anti TtG IgA according to the age group and there was a significant difference (P < 0.05) in the concentration of anti TtG I

Abstract Kidney stones are one of the most common and most painful medical problems known (1). Nurses assess and monitor patients through diagnosis and treatment and teach patients how to avoid recurrence of stones (2). A descriptive study was conducted on 150 patients diagnosed with recurrent kidney stones, who were attending the out patients consultation urology disease clinics at surgical specialties, Al-Kadhimia, Al-Yarmook, and Al-Karama Teaching Hospital and Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) departments for the period from the 1st of Feb. 2002 through to the end of May 2004. Performance Enhancement of Metasurface Grating Polarizer Using Deep Learning for Quantum Key Distribution Systems

Metasurface polarizers are essential optical components in modern integrated optics and play a vital role in many optical applications including Quantum Key Distribution systems in quantum cryptography. However, inverse design of metasurface polarizers with high efficiency depends on the proper prediction of structural dimensions based on required optical response. Deep learning neural networks can efficiently help in the inverse design process, minimizing both time and simulation resources requirements, while better results can be achieved compared to traditional optimization methods. Hereby, utilizing the COMSOL Multiphysics Surrogate model and deep neural networks to design a metasurface grating structure with high extinction rat

The present study discusses the problem based learning in Iraqi classroom. This method aims to involve all learners in collaborative activities and it is learner-centered method. To fulfill the aims and verify the hypothesis which reads as follow” It is hypothesized that there is no statistically significant differences between the achievements of Experimental group and control group”. Thirty learners are selected to be the sample of present study.Mann-Whitney Test for two independent samples is used to analysis the results. The analysis shows that experimental group’s members who are taught according to problem based learning gets higher scores than the control group’s members who are taught according to traditional method. A new proposed handoff scheme for mobile communication systems
...Show More Authors

There are many studies dealt with handoff management in mobile communication systems and some of these studies presented handoff schemes to manage this important process in cellular network. All previous schemes used relative signal strength (RSS) measurements. In this work, a new proposed handoff scheme had been presented depending not only on the RSS measurements but also used the threshold distance and neighboring BSS power margins in order to improve the handoff management process. We submitted here a threshold RSS as a condition to make a handoff when a mobile station moves from one cell to another this at first, then we submitted also a specified margin between the current received signal and the ongoing BS's received signal must be s
