Experimental and Theoretical Study for Performance Enhancement of Air Solar Collectors by Using Different Absorbers
...Show More Authors

An experimental and theoretical study has been done to investigate the thermal performance of different types of air solar collectors, In this work air solar collector with a dimensions of (120 cm x90 cm x12 cm) , was tested under climate condition of  Baghdad city with a (43° tilt angel)  by using  the absorber plate (1.45 mm thickness, 115 cm height x 84 cm width), which was manufactured from iron painted with a black matt.

The experimental test deals with five types of absorber:-

Conventional smooth flat plate absorber , Finned absorber , Corrugated absorber plate, Iron wire mesh on absorber And matrix of porous media  on absorber .

The hourly and average efficiency of the collectors were investigated for three values of mass flow rates (0.016 kg/s to 0.027 kg/s) for each type of collector and then the porosity for the last collector type was tested by changing the porosity of porous media.

A typical air solar collector has been studied Theoretically to build a standard software for testing any type of air solar collectors with local weather data .

From the experimental study  it can be seen  by using some obstacle material to the air flow (fins, corrugated absorber plate, iron wire mesh porous media on the absorber) could be enhanced the efficiencies not less than 4 %  for  finned type and 8 % for corrugated and 25 % for mesh and 30  %  for porous media comparing with flat plate (smooth) collector .

Theoretically, the results showed that the collector with high convention heat transfer coefficient porous media has high  hourly efficiency about (η = 56 %) and iron wire mesh on absorber ( η = 52 % ), on the other  side the minimum  performance occurred in the  flat plate absorber  (η = 28  %).

Comparison of results reveals that the theoretical predictions agree reasonably well with experimental results. And the difference between the theoretical   and experimental efficiency in general was between (1─ 15 %).

Evaluating the performance of project management using network diagrams methods: A case study in the Ramadi Municipality
...Show More Authors

This study came for the reason that some project administrations still do not follow the appropriate scientific methods that enable them to perform their work in a manner that achieves the goals for which those projects arise, in addition to exceeding the planned times and costs, so this study aims to apply the methods of network diagrams in Planning, scheduling and monitoring the project of constructing an Alzeuot intersection bridge in the city of Ramadi, as the research sample, being one of the strategic projects that are being implemented in the city of Ramadi, as well as being one of the projects that faced during its implementation Several of problems, the project problem was studied according to scientific methods through the applica

Experimental Evaluation of the Thermoelectrical Performance of Photovoltaic-Thermal Systems with a Water-Cooled Heat Sink
...Show More Authors

A design for a photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) assembly with a water-cooled heat sink was planned, constructed, and experimentally evaluated in the climatic conditions of the southern region of Iraq during the summertime. The water-cooled heat sink was applied to thermally manage the PV cells, in order to boost the electrical output of the PVT system. A set of temperature sensors was installed to monitor the water intake, exit, and cell temperatures. The climatic parameters including the wind velocity, atmospheric pressure, and solar irradiation were also monitored on a daily basis. The effects of solar irradiation on the average PV temperature, electrical power, and overall electrical-thermal efficiency were investigated. The findings i

Mobile-based Telemedicine Application using SVD and F-XoR Watermarking for Medical Images
...Show More Authors

A medical- service platform is a mobile application through which patients are provided with doctor’s diagnoses based on information gleaned from medical images. The content of these diagnostic results must not be illegitimately altered during transmission and must be returned to the correct patient. In this paper, we present a solution to these problems using blind, reversible, and fragile watermarking based on authentication of the host image. In our proposed algorithm, the binary version of the Bose_Chaudhuri_Hocquengham (BCH) code for patient medical report (PMR) and binary patient medical image (PMI) after fuzzy exclusive or (F-XoR) are used to produce the patient's unique mark using secret sharing schema (SSS). The patient’s un

Enhancement of vanadium oxide doped Eu+3 for gas sensor application
...Show More Authors

Thin films of vanadium oxide nanoparticles doped with different concentrations of europium oxide (2, 4, 6, and 8) wt % are deposited on glass and Si substrates with orientation (111) utilizing by pulsed laser deposition technique using Nd:YAG laser that has a wavelength of 1064 nm, average frequency of 6 Hz and pulse duration of 10 ns. The films were annealed in air at 300 °C for two hours, then the structural, morphological and optical properties are characterized using x-ray diffraction (XRD), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and UV-Vis spectroscopy respectively. The X-ray diffraction results of V2O5:Eu2O3 exhibit that the film has apolycrystalline monoclinic V2O5 and triclinic V4O7 phases. The FESEM image shows a h

strategic direction and its impact on institutional performance An exploratory study in the Directorate General of Curricula
...Show More Authors

The objective of the research is to determine the nature of the strategic direction of the institution and its impact on enhancing the indicators of institutional performance. The strategic direction is the main purpose for which it was found. Therefore, it is the main engine for all activities and tasks that the institution can carry out to achieve its objectives within the environment in which it operates. The promotion of corporate performance indicators is one of the major challenges that senior management must address in order to help the organization invest its human resources in the best possible way.

The research problem was determined by means of the intentional sample, consisting of (33) members

Abstract The strategic performance of the United States depends on dealing with the Middle East countries and its variants on several bases and motives that enabled them to achieve American hegemony and invest its interests at the expense of the region countries. Within this performance, the administration of the United State President Donald Trump presented the Strategic Document on December 18, 2017, which focused on the principle of "America First", to determine the direction of future US strategic performance in the formulation of means of cooperation and intersections or hostility in addition to interests and threats. The future vision of the Arab region and the Middle East as a whole, this strategy is based on the fact that

An improved Bi-LSTM performance using Dt-WE for implicit aspect extraction
...Show More Authors

In aspect-based sentiment analysis ABSA, implicit aspects extraction is a fine-grained task aim for extracting the hidden aspect in the in-context meaning of the online reviews. Previous methods have shown that handcrafted rules interpolated in neural network architecture are a promising method for this task. In this work, we reduced the needs for the crafted rules that wastefully must be articulated for the new training domains or text data, instead proposing a new architecture relied on the multi-label neural learning. The key idea is to attain the semantic regularities of the explicit and implicit aspects using vectors of word embeddings and interpolate that as a front layer in the Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Bi-LSTM. First, we

Synthesis and Characterization of the Thin Films NiSe2/Si Heterojunction for Solar Cells
...Show More Authors

Thin film solar cells are preferable to the researchers and in applications due to the minimum material usage and to the rising of their efficiencies. In particular, thin film solar cells, which are designed based one transition metal chalcogenide materials, paly an essential role in solar energy conversion market. In this paper, transition metals with chalcogenide Nickel selenide termed as (NiSe2/Si) are synthesized. To this end, polycrystalline NiSe2 thin films are deposited through the use of vacuum evaporation technique under vacuum of 2.1x10-5 mbar, which are supplied to different annealing temperatures. The results show that under an annealed temperature of 525 K,
