Experimental Investigations Performance for (VCC) Using 2-Way (PFCV) Type (2FRE)

In modern hydraulic control systems, the trend in hydraulic power applications is to improve efficiency and performance. “Proportional valve” is generally applied to pressure, flow and directional-control valves which continuously convert a variable input signal into a smooth and proportional hydraulic output signal. It creates a variable resistance (orifice) upstream and downstream of a hydraulic actuator, and is meter in/meter out circuit and hence pressure drop, and power losses are inevitable. If velocity (position) feedback is used, flow pattern control is possible. Without aforementioned flow pattern, control is very “loose” and relies on “visual” feed back by the operator. At this point, we should examine how this valve works and how can use it in electro-hydraulic circuit designs.

In this paper, constructed and compared velocity control cylinder (VCC) by using a proportional flow control valve (PFCV) and with a fine throttle valve. With the aid of a check valve and that check valve, the proportional valve can be made to act in the “lift” direction, and the fine throttle in the “lower” direction. As with all proportional valves, there is also some hysteresis in a proportional flow control valve. The valve used in this work with a hysteresis of <±1% of  . The repetition accuracy is quoted in data sheet as < 1% of . The inferential results are good, acceptable and useful for designers which are working at hydraulic proportional field.

Back stepping-Based-PID-Controller Designed for an Artificial Pancreas model

Artificial pancreas is simulated to handle Type I diabetic patients under intensive care by automatically controlling the insulin infusion rate. A Backstepping technique is used to apply the effect of PID controller to blood glucose level since there is no direct relation between insulin infusion (the manipulated variable) and glucose level in Bergman’s system model subjected to an oral glucose tolerance test by applying a meal translated into a disturbance. Experimental and FE Investigations of Backfill Cover on Large-Diameter GRP Pipes

This paper presents experimental investigations on buried Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) pipes with a diameter of 1400 mm. The tested pipes were buried in dense, gravelly sand and subjected to traffic loads to study the effects of backfill cover on pipe deflection. The experimental program included tests on three GRP pipes with backfill covers of 100 cm, 75 cm, and 50 cm. The maximum traffic loads applied to the pipe–soil system corresponded to Iraqi Truck Type 3 (AASHTO H type). Vertical deflections of the pipes were monitored during the application of these loads. Control on a 2-D Wing Flutter Using an Adaptive Nonlinear Neural Controller

          The present paper studies the generalized Φ-  recurrent of Kenmotsu type manifolds. This is done to determine the components of the covariant derivative of the Riemannian curvature tensor. Moreover, the conditions which make Kenmotsu type manifolds to be locally symmetric or generalized Φ- recurrent have been established. It is also concluded that the locally symmetric of Kenmotsu type manifolds are generalized recurrent under suitable condition and vice versa. Furthermore, the study establishes the relationship between the Einstein manifolds and locally symmetric of Kenmotsu type manifolds.

The performance of a passively Q-switched Cr:YAG4+ in an end- pumped laser system

A characteristic study of a passively Q-switched diode pumped solid state laser system is presented in this work. For laser a comparison study for the theoretically calculated results with a simulation results using a software which calculates the Q-switched solid state laser parameters was such as energy, peak power and pulse width were performed. There was a good agreement between our theoretical calculations and the simulation values.
