The Influence of the Magnetic Abrasive Finishing System for Cylindrical Surfaces on the Surface Roughness and MRR
...Show More Authors

Abstract

Magnetic abrasive finishing (MAF) is one of the advanced finishing processes, which produces a high level of surface quality and is primarily controlled by a magnetic field. This paper study the effect of the magnetic abrasive finishing system on the material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness (Ra) in terms of magnetic abrasive finishing system for eight of input parameters, and three levels according to Taguchi array (L27) and using the regression model to analysis the output (results). These parameters are the (Poles geometry angle, Gap between the two magnetic poles, Grain size powder, Doze of the ferromagnetic abrasive powder, DC current, Workpiece velocity, Magnetic poles velocity, and Finishing time). This work includes the classification of the MAF system, implementation of MAF machine and magnetic poles, preparing ferromagnetic abrasive powder by mix the iron oxide with industrial diamond powder and studying the effects of magnetic abrasive finishing on the MRR and surface roughness. MINITAB software was used to estimate the influence of the Magnetic Abrasive Finishing (MAF) parameters on the MRR and Surface Roughness for a cylindrical duralumin (2024) workpiece. The results show that the poles geometry angle has the biggest influence on MRR (30.18%) followed by Finishing time, Gap, Magnetic poles velocity, Workpiece velocity, Current, Doze, and Grain size powder, respectively. Also the results show that the workpiece velocity has the biggest influence on the surface roughness (23.80%) followed by Doze, Gap, Current, poles geometry angle, Magnetic poles velocity, Grain size powder, and Finishing time, respectively. Regression results show that the decreasing of poles geometry angle from 30°to -30° leads to increasing MRR. While the decreasing of the workpiece velocity from (679 rpm) to (567 rpm) leads to increase the Roughness.

The Effect Of Optimizers On The Generalizability Additive Neural Attention For Customer Support Twitter Dataset In Chatbot Application
...Show More Authors

When optimizing the performance of neural network-based chatbots, determining the optimizer is one of the most important aspects. Optimizers primarily control the adjustment of model parameters such as weight and bias to minimize a loss function during training. Adaptive optimizers such as ADAM have become a standard choice and are widely used for their invariant parameter updates' magnitudes concerning gradient scale variations, but often pose generalization problems. Alternatively, Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) with Momentum and the extension of ADAM, the ADAMW, offers several advantages. This study aims to compare and examine the effects of these optimizers on the chatbot CST dataset. The effectiveness of each optimizer is evaluat

Optimal Design of Cylinderical Ectrode Using Neural Network Modeling for Electrochemical Finishing
...Show More Authors

The finishing operation of the electrochemical finishing technology (ECF) for tube of steel was investigated In this study. Experimental procedures included qualitative
and quantitative analyses for surface roughness and material removal. Qualitative analyses utilized finishing optimization of a specific specimen in various design and operating conditions; value of gap from 0.2 to 10mm, flow rate of electrolytes from 5 to 15liter/min, finishing time from 1 to 4min and the applied voltage from 6 to 12v, to find out the value of surface roughness and material removal at each electrochemical state. From the measured material removal for each process state was used to verify the relationship with finishing time of work piece. Electrochemi

The Investigation of Monitoring Systems for SMAW Processes
...Show More Authors

The monitoring weld quality is increasingly important because great financial savings are possible because of it, and this especially happens in manufacturing where defective welds lead to losses in production and necessitate time consuming and expensive repair. This research deals with the monitoring and controllability of the fusion arc welding process using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. The effect of weld parameters on the weld quality was studied by implementing the experimental results obtained from welding a non-Galvanized steel plate ASTM BN 1323 of 6 mm thickness in different weld parameters (current, voltage, and travel speed) monitored by electronic systems that are followed by destructive (Tensile and Bending) and non

The impact of the use of hydromassage rehabilitation exercises on the recovery of certain motor potentials of knee roughness sufferers
...Show More Authors

The research included the introduction to the research and its importance as knee joint is an important joint in the human body that is prone to injury. One such injury is knee roughness injury that occurs as a result of the stress of the knee joint and age. The importance of examining the need for the use of rehabilitation exercises, especially in the watercourse system, is highlighted by the fact that the aquatic environment is one of the most important factors helping to alleviate pain and rehabilitate the knee joint and thereby improve the mobility of those with knee roughness. The problem of research is that rehabilitation exercises have been developed in the watercourse system on the basis of scientific bases with a repetitive and sys

The Effect of White Rot Fungus (Ganoderma sp) as Decomposers on Composting Using Combination of Cattle Feces and Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) as Organic Matter
...Show More Authors

In Indonesia, cattle feces (CF) and water hyacinth (WH) plants are abundant but have not been widely revealed. The use of microorganisms as decomposers in the fermentation process has not been widely applied, so researchers are interested in studying further. This study was to evaluate the effect of the combination of CF with WH on composting by applying white-rot fungal (WRF) (Ganoderma sp) microorganism as a decomposer. A number of six types of treatment compared to R1(ratio of CF:WH)(25%:75%)+WRF; R2(ratio of CF:WH)(50%:50%)+WRF; R3(ratio of CF:WH)(75%:25%)+WRF; R4(ratio of CF:WH)(25%:75%) without WRF; R5(ratio of CF:WH)(50%:50%) without WRF; R6(ratio of CF:WH)

An Experimental Study on Electrochemical Grinding Parameters on Hardness and Material Removal Rate for Stainless Steel 316
...Show More Authors

Electrochemical Grinding (ECG) process is a mechanically assisted electrochemical process for material processing. The process is able to successfully machine electrically conducting harder materials at faster rate with improved surface finish and dimensional control. This research studies the effect of applied current, electrolyte concentration, spindle speed and the gap between workpiece and tool on hardness and material removal rate during electrochemical grinding for stainless steel 316. The characteristic features of the electrochemical grinding process are explored through Taguchi-design-based experimental studies. The better hardness can be obtained at 10 A of the current, 150 g/l of the electrolyte concentration, 0.3 mm of gap an

Abstract

This paper represents a study of the effect of the soil type, the drilling parameters and the drilling tool properties on the dynamic vibrational behavior of the drilling rig and its assessment in the drilling system. So first, an experimental drilling rig was designed and constructed to embrace the numerical work.

The experimental work included implementation of the drill-string in different types of soil with different properties according to the difference in the grains size, at different rotational speeds (RPM), and different weights on bit (WOB) (Thrust force), in a way that allows establishing the charts that correlate the vibration acceleration, the rate of penetration (ROP), and the power

Measurement of Impact of Banking System Development on Economic Growth in Iraq
...Show More Authors

At the heart of every robust economy is a vital banking system. The functional banking system can effectively perform several functions such as mobilizing savings, allocating credit, monitoring managers, transforming risks, and facilitating the financial transactions. This paper aims to measure the impact of banking system development on economic growth in Iraq. Credit to private sector divided by GDP used as a proxy of banking development. Real per capita GDP used as a proxy of economic growth. By using Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the paper finds that the undeveloped Iraqi banking system could not promote economic growth in the country. Therefore, a variety of policies need to be taken to spur the role of bankin
