Intelligent H2/H∞ Robust Control of an Active Magnetic Bearings System

Abstract

Robust controller design requires a proper definition of uncertainty bounds. These uncertainty bounds are commonly selected randomly and conservatively for certain stability, without regard for controller performance.  This issue becomes critically important for multivariable systems with high nonlinearities, as in Active Magnetic Bearings (AMB) System. Flexibility and advanced learning abilities of intelligent techniques make them appealing for uncertainty estimation. The aim of this paper is to describe the development of robust H2/H controller for AMB based on intelligent estimation of uncertainty bounds using Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS).  Simulation results reveal that the robust controller design objectives of wide bandwidth and improved performance are satisfied for a wide range of frequency variations. It can be concluded that the intelligent uncertainty weighting functions can precisely compensate for the effects of modelling errors and nonlinearities in the system.

Building a Management System to Control the Construction Claims in Iraq

The paper deals with claims in construction projects in Iraq and studies their types, causes, impacts, resolution methods and then proposes a management system to control the impacts of claims. Two parts have been done to achieve the research objective (theoretical part and practical part). The findings showed that the main types of the claims are extra work claims, different site condition claims, delay claims and the main causes of the claims are variation of the orders, design errors and omission, delay in payments by owner, variation in quantities and scheduling errors. Robust Adaptive Sliding Mode Controller for a Nonholonomic Mobile Platform

In this paper, a robust adaptive sliding mode controller is designed for a mobile platform trajectory tracking.  The mobile platform is an example of a nonholonomic mechanical system. The presence of holonomic constraints reduces the number of degree of freedom that represents the system model, while the nonholonomic constraints reduce the differentiable degree of freedom. Existence, Uniqueness and Approximate Controllability of Impulsive Fractional Nonlinear Control System with Nonsingular Kernel

     The main aim of this work is to investigate the existence and approximate controllability of mild solutions of impulsive fractional nonlinear control system with a nonsingular kernel in infinite dimensional space. Firstly, we set sufficient conditions to demonstrate the existence and uniqueness of the mild solution of the control system using the Banach fixed point theorem. Further, we prove the approximate controllability of the control system using the sequence method.

Robust Watermarking Scheme for GIS Vector Maps

  With the fast progress of information technology and the computer networks, it becomes very easy to reproduce and share the geospatial data due to its digital styles. Therefore, the usage of geospatial data suffers from various problems such as data authentication, ownership proffering, and illegal copying ,etc. These problems can represent the big challenge to future uses of the geospatial data. Powell-Eyring Fluid Peristaltic Transfer in an Asymmetric Channel and A Porous Medium under the Influence of A Rotation and an Inclined Magnetic Field

     In this article, we investigate the peristaltic flow of a Powell-Eyring fluid flowing in an asymmetrical channel with an inclining magnetic field through a porous medium, and we focus on the impact that varying rotation has on this flow. Long wavelength and low Reynolds number are assumed, where the perturbation approach is used to solve the nonlinear governing equations in the Cartesian coordinate system to produce series solutions. Distributions of velocity and pressure gradients are expressed mathematically. The effect of these parameters is discussed and illustrated graphically through the set of figures. To get these numerical results, we used the math program MATHEMATICA.
