Formation of Compressive Residual Stress by Face Milling Steel AISI 1045
...Show More Authors

Abstract

Machining residual stresses correlate very closely with the cutting parameters and the tool geometries. This research work aims to investigate the effect of cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut on the surface residual stress of steel AISI 1045 after face milling operation. After each milling test, the residual stress on the surface of the workpiece was measured by using X-ray diffraction technique. Design of Experiment (DOE) software was employed using the response surface methodology (RSM) technique with a central composite rotatable design to build a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the input variables and the response. The results showed that both the feed rate and the cutting speed are the significant factors controlling the surface residual stress, while the depth of cut had no influence. A quadratic empirical model was developed with a 95% confidence level, and a good agreement was found between the experimental and predicted results. A numerical optimization was then conducted through DOE program to find the optimum surface residual stress at the optimum cutting parameters, depending on the maximum desirability obtained. The optimum compressive surface residual stress (-224.361 MPa) was found at cutting speed of 69.2 m/min, feed rate of 0.4 m/min and depth of cut of 0.4 mm.

Synthesis, Characterization and Dyeing Performance of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) Complexes with (E)-4-Chloro-N-(2-(Dimethylamino)Ethyl)-5-((8-Hydroxyquinolin-5-yl)Diazenyl)-2-Methoxybenzamide

The (E)-4-chloro-N-(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)-5-((8-hydroxy quinolin-5-yl)diazenyl)-2-methoxybenzamide azo ligand (L) has been synthesized through the reaction of diazonium salt for 5-amino-4-chloro-N-(2-(dimethylamino) ethyl)-2-methoxybenzamide with 8-hydroxyquinoline and identified azo ligand (L) using spectroscopic studies (FTIR, UV-Vis, 1H and 13CNMR, mass), and micro-elemental analysis (C.H.N). Metal chelates of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), as well as Zn(II) have been completed as well as characterized using mass spectra, flame atomic absorption, elemental analysis (C.H.N), infrared, UV-Vis spectroscopy, as well as conductivity, magnetic measurements. The metal-to-ligand ratio in all complexes, as determined by analytical data, was 1:2 and ex

Extraction, Identification and Isolation of B-sitosterol from Iraqi Wild Awsaj plant (Lycium barbarum) Using UAE (Probe and Bath) and two isolation technique (HPTLC and PHPLC): B-sitosterol in Iraqi Awsaj plant
...Show More Authors

Awsaj (Lycium barbarum) is a plant belong to family Solanaceae serves as a good source of bioactive compounds like phytosterols which have many important biological activity. Literature survey available so far revealed that there was no studies about Iraqi wild Awsaj phytosterols especially B-sitosterol, there for the objective of this study was to examine the efficiency of ultrasound assisted extraction (probe and bath) as compared to the conventional (Soxhlet) extraction method for extraction of phytosterols especially B-sitosterol from fruits, leaves, stems and roots of Iraqi wild Awsaj plant. This goal was achieved by comparing the extraction mass yield, also by a quick and easy approach for identification and quantification of bioac

An Analytical Study of the Variables (Maximum Oxygen Consumption and Lactic Acid) and their Impact on Offensive Skill Performance Endurance during the Special Preparation Phase for the Iraqi National Badminton Team (Seniors)
...Show More Authors

The current study had investigated how specific physiological parameters and the endurance of offensive skills of elite Iraqi badminton players are influenced using preparatory phase training. The study used a systematic experimental research design to determine the impact of high-intensity interval exercise (HIIE) on technical accuracy and movement efficiency. Maximal oxygen uptake (VO 2 max), blood lactate levels, and other salient physiological variables were taken before and after training. The results indicated that VO 2 max was significantly increased and lactate was reduced which indicated an increase in aerobic and anaerobic capacity. There was also an increased offensive physical endurance among the participants, increased shot eff

Background: Pharmacists are essential in treating MS. Pharmacists' involvement and patient consultation may improve patient adherence and satisfaction. Aim: To evaluate the influence of pharmacist-led interventions (PLI) on medication adherence and satisfaction in patients with multiple sclerosis receiving disease-modifying therapies (DMTs). Methods: This study was conducted on patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis who were receiving DMTs and attended a neurological consultant clinic in the medical city of Baghdad. It was a pre-post-intervention study. Each patient underwent two educational sessions: the first session took place at the beginning of the study, after completing the Arabic version of the treatment satisfaction q

Nucleon momentum distributions and elastic electron scattering form factors for 48Ti and 54Fe nuclei
...Show More Authors

The nucleon momentum distributions (NMD) for the ground state and elastic electron scattering form factors have been calculated in the framework of the coherent fluctuation model and expressed in terms of the weight function (fluctuation function). The weight function has been related to the nucleon density distributions of nuclei and determined from theory and experiment. The nucleon density distributions (NDD) is derived from a simple method based on the use of the single particle wave functions of the harmonic oscillator potential and the occupation numbers of the states. The feature of long-tail behavior at high momentum region of the NMD has been obtained using both the theoretical and experimental weight functions. The observed ele

The soft sets were known since 1999, and because of their wide applications and their great flexibility to solve the problems, we used these concepts to define new types of soft limit points, that we called soft turning points. Finally, we used these points to define new types of soft separation axioms and we study their properties.

The significance of the research lies in the fact that electronic technologies represent an important step in evaluating legal situations, and the research problem centered on the lack of attention to visual requirements and the absence of a clear image of legal situations that may be difficult for the referee to apply correctly in addition to the lack of focus on visual requirements and the unclear depiction of some legal cases which make it difficult for the referee to interpret them correctly This is because the referee's main tool is visual perception, which interprets live situations such as violations, fouls, and other cases that arise during a game Moreover, there are numerous responses and challenges in evaluating legal situ
