In the present paper a low cost mechanical vibration shaker of rotating unbalanced type with uniaxial shaking table was designed and constructed in an attempt to provide opportunities for experimental testing and application of vibration in experimental modal analysis, stress relief of weldments, effect of vibration on heat transfer and seismic testing of civil engineering structures. Also, it provides unexpressive solution to enhance the knowledge and technical skills of students in mechanical vibration laboratory. The shaker consists of a five main parts shaker frame, shaker table, flexible support, drive motor, and eccentricity mechanism. The experimental results show that the amplitude of the shaker is increased with increasing the frequency ratio and the maximum value was attained near the resonance condition. Also, the magnitude of amplitude is increased with increasing the eccentric mass and eccentricity values. A reasonable agreement with theoretical results shows that the shaker can be used with reliable results in vibration testing purposes. Also, in this paper, the frequency ranges of the shaker were determined for constant displacement and for constant acceleration tests to satisfy all the frequency limitation requirements of the mechanical shaker.
Infection with cryptosporidiosis endangers the lives of many people with immunodeficiency, especially HIV patients. Nitazoxanide is one of the main therapeutic drugs used to treat cryptosporidiosis. However, it is poorly soluble in water, which restricts its usefulness and efficacy in immunocompromised patients. Surfactants have an amphiphilic character which indicates their ability to improve the water solubility of the hydrophobic drugs. Our research concerns the synthesis of new cationic Gemini surfactants that have the ability to improve the solubility of the drug Nanazoxide. So, we synthesized cationic Gemini surfactants. Objective(s): To evaluate blended learning in nursing education at the Middle Region in Iraq.
Methodology: A descriptive study, using evaluation approach, is conducted to evaluate blended learning in nursing education in Middle Region in Iraq from September 26th, 2021 to March 22nd, 2022. The study is carried out at two Colleges of Nursing at the University of Baghdad and University of Tikrit in Iraq. A convenient, non-probability, sample of (60) undergraduate nursing students is selected. The sample is comprised of (30) student from each college of nursing, Self-report questionnaire is constructed from the literature, for e

It is known that the quality of the DEM is affected by both of accuracy of elevation at each pixel (absolute accuracy) and accuracy of presented morphology (relative accuracy). The University of Baghdad, Al Jadriya campus was selected as a study area to create and analysis the resulting DEM. Additionally, Geographic Information System (GIS) was used to visualize, analyses and interpolate GPS track points (elevation data) of the study area. In this

dissolution and the progression of in vitro caries like lesions in human enamel.
Materials and Methods: Human extracted caries free upper first premolar teeth were collected for
this study. The irradiated teeth were divided into two groups. The first group was irradiated with
continuous Nd:YAG laser radiation, and the second group was irradiated with chopped Nd:YAG laser
radiation. For the first group, power and exposure time were changed while for the second group
power and number of pulses were changed. The spot diameter was kept constant for all the samples.
Results: using 1.5 W and 3 seconds (exposure time), best results among
ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: The main goal of facelift surgery is to reduce the effect of aging by reposition of face soft tissue in to more youthful orientation. There are many methods for SMAS plication which had different design and vector of pull. AIM OF STUDY: To evaluate the effectiveness and longitivity of 7 shaped SMAS plication in facelift. PATIENT AND METHODS: From January 2020 to march 2021, 10 female patients with age (45-60) years were presented with facial sagging, those patients were subjected to subcutaneous facelift with 7 shaped SMAS plication with fat greft in Al-Shaheed Ghazi Al-Harri Hospital and Baghdad burn medical center at Baghdad medical complex. RESULTS: The average follow up period was 6 to 12 months. The mean operative

In many occasions this condition is accompanied or followed by different metabolic disorders. The current study is conducted in the "Specialized center for endocrinology and diabetes" and carried on 70 hypothyroid patients and 60 randomly chosen individuals with normal thyroid function .Both groups were submitted to laboratory tests to evaluate thyroid function (T3,T4.TSH). The study involved evaluation of the relationship between hypothyroidism and insulin resistance (IR) . Health problem related to many diseases , became common lately. Abstract Objectives: The study aims to evaluate the nurses' practices that concerning intravenous chemotherapy infusion and to find out the association between nurses' practices and their level of education, year of experiences, and training course.
Methodology: A descriptive study was conducted in Baghdad Teaching Hospital and Al Amal National Hospital for Treatment of Tumors for the purpose of evaluating the practices of nurses related to infusion of intravenous chemotherapy for the period from 20th October 2017 to 14th March 2018. The sample was randomly selected from both hospitals. Who were evaluated by using a checklist to observe their practices which consisted of two parts; the first part included the demographic information
