Laser Irradiation Effect on The Optical Properties of CoO<sub>2</sub>Thin Films deposited via Semi-Computerized Spraying System

Abstract<p>In this paper deals with the effect laser irradiation on the optical properties of cobalt oxide (CoO<sub>2</sub>) thin films and that was prepared using semi computerized spray pyrolysis technique. The films deposited on glass substrate using such as an ideal value concentration of (0.02)M with a total volume of 100 ml. With substrate temperature was (350 C), spray rate (15 ml/min).The XRD diffraction given polycrystalline nature with Crystal system trigonal (hexagonal axes). The obtained films were irradiated by continuous green laser (532.8 nm) with power 140 mW for different time periods is 10 min,20min and 30min. The result was that the optical properties of cobalt oxide thin films affected by laser irradiation where the absorbance, absorbance coefficient, extinction coefficient and the real<italic>ε</italic><sub>1</sub>and imaginary<italic>ε</italic><sub>2</sub>part of the dielectric constant of the films increases after laser irradiation. While the Transmittance and refractive index decrease with laser irradiation. The optical energy gap was decreased from (1.89 eV to 1.6 eV) after laser irradiation, and this is a good variation of bandgap values for photovoltaic applications.</p>

NOTES ON SOME MITES UNDER CERTAIN FIELD CROPS IN CENTRAL IRAQ

A study of some mite species of alfalfa. wheat, and barley was conducted in central Iraq.
The mites were extracted using a tullgren funnel method. Twelve species were recorded. 10 of
them belong to suborder Trombidiformes and 2 belong to suborder Sarcoptiforms. Three
mites, Irnpar(pes hystricinus, Scutacarus longitarsus, and Rhizoglyphus echin opus are new
records for Iraqi mite fauna, and 11 are new host records in alfalfa soil.

video.

Room Temperature Photodetector Based on ANISOTYPE (n-p) Ge-Si Heterojunction

In this work we present a detailed study on anisotype nGe-pSi heterojunction (HJ) used as photodetector in the wavelength range (500-1100 nm). I-V characteristics in the dark and under illumination, C-V characteristics, minority carriers lifetime (MCLT), spectral responsivity, field of view, and linearity were investigated at 300K. The results showed that the detector has maximum spectral responsivity at λ=950 nm. The photo-induced open circuit voltage decay results revealed that the MCLT of HJ was around 14.4 μs

All Fiber Chemical Liquids Refractive Index Sensor Based on Multimode Interference

A simple all optical fiber sensor based on multimode interference (MMI) for chemical liquids sensing was designed and fabricated. A segment of coreless fiber (CF) was spliced between two single mode fibers to buildup single mode-coreless-single mode (SCS) structure. Broadband source and optical signal analyzer were connected to the ends of SCS structure. De-ionized water, acetone, and n-hexane were used to test the performance of the sensor. Multi-Focus Image Fusion Based on Pixel Significance Using Counterlet Transform

Abstract

 The objective of image fusion is to merge multiple sources of images together in such a way that the final representation contains higher amount of useful information than any input one.. In this paper, a weighted average fusion method is proposed. It depends on using weights that are extracted from source images using counterlet transform. The extraction method is done by making the approximated transformed coefficients equal to zero, then taking the inverse counterlet transform to get the details of the images to be fused. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been verified on several grey scale and color test  images, and compared with some present methods.
