Complexes of Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II)and Zn(II) with mixed ligand of 4- aminoantipyrine (4-AAP) and tributylphosphine (PBu3) were prepared in aqueous ethanol with (1:2:2) (M:L:PBu3). The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. In addition biological activity of the two ligands and their complexes against three selected type of bacteria were also examined. The general compositions of the complexes are found to be [M(4-AAP)2(PBu3)2] Cl2 . Where M= Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II)and Zn(II). Some of the complexes exhibit good bacterial activities. From the obtained data the octahedral structures have suggested for all prepared complexes.

... Show MoreThe research includes synthesis and identification of novel three amino acids ligands complexes of some heavy metal (II) ions by using the amino acids like glycine, L-alanine and L-valine. New metal mixed ligand complexes with amino acids are prepared the reaction by reacting the three amino acids with the metals(II) chloride by using 50% ethanolic solution and 50% distall water in the molar ratio [1:1:1:1] ( M:Gly:Ala:Val) except for Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes were found after diagnosis the coordination with both Lalanine and L-valine. The prepared complexes identified by using physical properties, flame atomic absorption and conductivity measurements, in addition, mass, FT.IR and UV.vis spectrum as well magnetic moment data. The general

Show MoreCoupling reaction of 2-amino benzoic acid with the 8-hydroxy quinoline gave the azo ligand (H2L): 5-(2-benzoic acid azo )-8-hydroxy quinoline.Treatment of this ligand with some metal ions (CoII, NiII and CuII ) in ethanolic medium with a (1:2) (M:L) ratio yielded a series of neutral complexes with general Formula[M(HL)2],where: M=Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II), HL=anion azo ligand (-1).The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption,FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements.
new six mixed ligand complexes of some transition metal ions Manganese (II), Cobalt(II), Iron (II), Nickel (II) , and non transition metal ion zinc (II) And Cadmium(II) with L-valine (Val H ) as a primary ligand and Saccharin (HSac) as a secondary ligands have been prepared. All the prepared complexes have been characterized by molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility infrared, electronic spectral, Elemental microanalysis (C.H.N) and AA . The complexes with the formulas [M(Val)2(HSac)2] M= Mn (II) , Fe (II) , Co(II) ,Ni(II), Cu (II),Zn(II) and Cd(II) L- Val H= (C5H11NO2) , C7H5NO3S The study shows that these complexes have octahedral geometry; The metal complexes have been screened for their in microbiological activities against bacteria.
... Show MoreThe research includes the synthesis and identification of the mixed ligands complexes of M(II) Ions in general composition [M(Lyn)2(phen)] Where L- lysine (C6H14N2O2) commonly abbreviated (LynH) as a primary ligand and 1,10-phenanthroline(C12H8N2) commonly abbreviated as "phen," as a secondary ligand . The ligands and the metal chlorides were brought in to reaction at room temperature in ethanol as solvent. The reaction required the following molar ratio [(1:1:2) (metal): phen:2 Lyn -] with M(II) ions, were M = Mn(II),Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Fe(II) and Cd(II). Our research also includes studying the bio–activity of the some complexes prepared against pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli(-),Staphylococcus(-) , Pseudomonas (-), Bacillus (-)

Accordingly, mono-nuclear Mn(II), Fe(III), Co (II), and Rh(III) complexes were prepared by the reaction of previous ligand with MnCl2.4H2O, CoCl2.6H2O, FeCl3.6H2O and RhCl3H2O, respectively. The compounds have been characterized by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis), mass, 1H-, and 13C-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra and thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA& DSC) curve, Bohr magnetic (B.M.), elemental microanalyses, metal ions, chloride containing, and molar conductance. These reviews uncovered octahedral geometries for complex

The prepared complexes were characterized by FT-IR and electronic spectroscopy, Magnetic susceptibility, Flame Atomic Absorption technique as well as elemental analysis and conductivity measurement. From the spectral studies, an octahedral monomer structure proposed for Ni(II) complexes, and a tetrahedral monomer structure for Co(II)complexes.Semi-empirical methods (PM3,and ZINDO/1)were carried out to evaluate the heat formation( ?H?f)binding energy(?Eb) and dipole moment(µ)for all metal complexes. The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, micoelemental analysis (C.H.N), chloride content (Mohr Method) , FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic, as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurement. From the above data, the proposed molecular structure for Fe+2, Cd+2 and Hg+2 complexes are tetrahedral geometry while Ag+ complex is trigonal structure.
The researchers wanted to make a novel azo imidazole as a follow-up to their previous work. We focused on the ligand 4-[(2-amino-4-phenylazo)- methyl]-cyclohexane carboxylic acid as a derivative of trans-4- (aminomethyl) cyclohexane carboxylic acid diazonium salt, synthesized a series of its chelate complexes with metal ions, and characterized these compounds using a variety techniques, including elemental analysis, FTIR, LC-Mass, NMR and UV-Vis spectral process as well TGA, conductivity and magnetic quantifications. Analytical data showed that the Cr(III), Mn(II) and Zn(II) complexes out to 1:1 metal-ligand ratio with octahedral geometry except Mn complex has tetrahedral geometry.
